Have a great holiday Nixy :T Glad you're taking the Toad with you, stuff some Marajuana in his pants and get him knicked so he don't come back :D

Newlywed I like your thinking. I have in the past been reluctant to do that because I thought anything sweet would set me off. Trouble is anything at all sets me off so I might as well give it a try ;) I have been thinking about buying a box of After Eights and hiding them in a special place away from the others and just having 1 in the evening to make me smile. Usually this would have been a big "no no", but I'm up for trying new ideas as the old ones aren't very sucessful. I have got SO set into the thought that choccy is very bad that I feel like a failure if I have any at all. Might as well give it a go ;)

Another thing I've changed is that in the past I've had VERY plain boring foods. Plain veg and fruit and beans. Almost like the "i'm a celebrity" rice and beans thing. Punishment for being such a bad fat person  This time I'm having nice things including those lovely Soya Yogs and when I stop pigging I loose a good amount ;)

Well I used to think I'm on a diet and trying to cut the grocery spends so therefore I should only eat leftovers or stuff we already have for lunches.... then I get bored of cheese sarnies, or don't fancy tuna sarnie (when that's the only filling we've got) so go and buy crisps, chocolate etc etc from the shop.

Thus defeating both purposes, saving money and losing weight

I've found that by giving myself a "treat" of some sort - even just fruit other than the usual boring apples - makes me feel less deprived and miserable :o

    Food for today:-

soaked oats with raisins banana and a few Sainsbug value strawberries.
lunch - jacket and leftover chilli (yeah chilli leftovers but I quite fancied this)
tea - turkey curry from the freezer

Snacks - more of my Aldi 69p white grapes ;)

  • Morning everyone.

Just a very quick one to post my food for today.

    B - 2 slices toast with marmite.

L - Salad (lettuce, grated carrot, new potatoes, walnuts)

    D - HM veggie lasagne

Aquafit tonight and then WI tomorrow, but I'm not feeling very optomistic about that after my very bad weekend and start to the week. The best I can hope for is a sts, but it's probably going to be a gain.

    Have a good one everyone.

    Hi again Newlywed,

I've been thinking about what I posted earlier....................................

I lable myself as an "foodaholic" and like an alcoholic would say "I just can't have 1 drink", I do the same about food. So I abstain from all "alcohol" (bad foods). But then I crave them like mad and ALWAYS give in eventually, be it in a day or in a year. I know LOADS of fat people who say "I just can't stop at one" but I don't know any thin people who never have any

Am I really saying that in order to be thin I can NEVER eat choccy again because I'll go mad? Perhaps, as hard as it is , I need to MAKE myself have a little bit everyday to stop the binging. I really don't know the answer, but I think it is worth trying a new tact as the old one clearly isn't working is it? ;)

I'm just under 10 stone now and I can't stop at just one either :o Whether that's biscuits, cakes, sweets or chocolate. So now I don't buy them much and then I can't have them.

Last month I did try the expensive chocolate bar and managed to just have one square a day - but I found during the days I still wanted more other food and gave in to crisps and biscuits more.

But I can't ban any food or else I'll crave it :p

That's why I go for treat food that isn't one of those things but is expensive fruit or something I love but still isn't chocolate or biscuits.

Nixy - have a great holiday!;)

Frogga - give the after eights a try, I once did this with a chocolate orange, allowed myself 2 segments a night in bed when I was reading my book and I really enjoyed them - yes I could have pigged the lot but then I wouldn't have enjoyed them at all!

We had a good talk at SW last night which set me thinking. I have had the will power to give up meat(health reasons) and also artificial sweeetners and havent found it hard at all so surely I can give up eating carp too! I just need to get my head into gear and tell myself its fgor health reasons and how much better I'll fell if I can succeed! I dont even enjoy eating the carp - I just feel guilty afterwards but cant stop myself. Anyway I'm going to give it a go. Its other people that wreck it for me - putting temptation in my path! :D

Good luck with the chocolate Kika - let us know how you do!
    Do what you love :happyhear
