morning all!
Beanielou - hope you're feeling better today x
xredwebx - congrats on the wedding!
bobba - well done on the job!
Sandy - here's a recipe I use for lentil cottage pie
shepherdless pie
400g continental lentils(green)
6 carrots diced
2 medium onions chopped
2 sticks celery chopped
1 leek sliced thinly
1 tablespoon tomato puree
3 stock cubes
about 1.5 litres water
tablespoon dried mint
a little cornflour or instant gravy granules
about a kilo mashed potato
its a bung it all in the pan(except the gravy granules /flour) and cook until lentils are soft type of recipe i( use a pressure cooker) then i thicken with the gravy granules/flour
Then strain the lentil mixture reserving the gravy put the lentil mixture into an oven proof dish top with the mash and bake in a hot oven until browned
I cooked it on the stove and halved the mixture as it makes loads! I put mine into small individual dishes(freezes well) so no temptation to over eat!
Got weighed in last night and have put 1 pound on:eek: was expected and after an enjoyable SW meeting I feel remotivated (at the moment;) ) so am going all out to get my July target which is now to lose 3 and a half pounds to get back to my target weight.
off to work later and am taking all my food with me.
B - 2 small brown toasts with egg (scrambled I think)
banana
L - jacket spud with cottage cheese and salad
S - strawberries and kiwi fruit
D - pasta n sauce with quorn sausages
Will have an aero hot choc for supper(delish)
hope you all have a lovely day!
Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Morning Guys,
Well, the Toad visited again last night  I don't know what's wrong with me at the mo? I can't seem to stick to it for longer than a couple of daysI'm dieting in shifts; two days on , one day off  Really need to get my ar5e in gear or I'll get nowhere fast.
I'm trying not to get down about it as I am still 2 st lighter than when I started in May
What went wrong yesterday? Don't know reallyI think I got bored. I felt "hungry" most of the day and had every meal early. I'd had my tea by 3 oclock so I guess the writing was on the wall
Mr Frog got home at 4 and was grumpy and moany so that peed me off and then I started to "cheer myself up" with some yummies.
So, I'm just gonna keep on trying  I think at least I can cling to the fact that I'm not all doom and gloom each time I fall off the wagon this time and I just keep on trying. I hope my continued struggle isn't getting on your nerves too much ~ I'm irritating the hell out of me
Right, off to take Tadpole 2 to school, have a good one everyone

Morning all! Thank you for the kind words. Big hugs to Beanie and everyone who could do with one!!
I snuck on the scales today and appear to have lost 2 pounds, but as it's not weigh in day til tomorrow i'll wait til then to declareWIll probably re-appear overnight anyway! Had a snack last night of 7 white chocolate buttons from OH's packet!
Today:
B: 1 slice toast with low fat peanut butter
S: satsuma
L: crabstick, mayo and lettuce sandwhich, mullerlight. Diet coke
S: satsumabig fat HM lasagne!! and salad of sorts
Have a lovely day everyone! xx0 -
Not a good day to travel in by bus  I'm soaked:mad:
I had 2 slices or toast and marmalade at stupid o clock. I've brought an egg sandwich for lunch and some fruit but somehow can't see myself making it to lunchtime without something extra..........I might eat my sandwich then get a lunch.
I've got WI at SW tonight and I know I will have gained after 2 weeks off work/class. I've got a belly dancing class  at lunchtime and a dance class tonight :dance:so I think I can afford a bit of lunch today
Hope everyone's day improves :A0 -
Frogga you sneaked on while I wasn't looking :rotfl:
That bl**dy toad is causing chaos at the moment !
Have you thought of trying SW or something similar? I'm the last one to talk but on that I know if I'm 'hungry' there is always something I can have to fill me up so that I don't eat toooooomuch of the bad stuff IYKWIM..
I know you're vegan but it's a very adaptable diet??????0 -
Hi all,
Thanks Marie for the ginger advice, I will give it a go
I had a bottle of Becks last night and it made me feel utterly carp so I think in future I will stick with my vodka lime and sodas.
B: Porridge made with water and an apple
L: HM veg soupNot sure yet, OH is cooking so I will wait to see what he produces. We have some lovely peas from FIL so maybe risotto or something similar
Have a great day all0 -
Have you thought of trying SW or something similar? quote]
Funnily enough Rocks I was thinking about SW this morning. RS and another non-cyber mate have been telling me all about it. I have read the SW Bible and it says that ALL fruit and veg could been eaten in unlimited amounts :j
When I was peckish yesterday I did start by eating lots of fruit, than I got bored of that (and supplies ran out:rolleyes: ) so then I went on to dried fruit, which was quite nice. If I'm honest I was full , but Mr Frog peed me off and I felt sorry for myself so I started pigging out. If I'd have been in a better frame of mind I would have stopped at the fruit.
In pig mode I ate 4 peices of toast and marmite, about 8 chewey bars, 1 choc digestive, and ice cream. I hopped on the scales this morning and I actually weigh 2lb less than on Monday so I know if I get back to it today and put yesterday to bed I will have a loss on next Monday's WI. I think it's habit to pig out if something upsets me and that's what I need to change. I am very easily irritated at the mo as it's comming up to TOTM. Can't use that as an excuse though as it happens every month so I'll never get anywhere:rolleyes:Say it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

Good morning to you all!!!!! I am very very VERY happy this morning as at 3am tonight I get up and I drive to Liverpool to fly to the Algarve - GO ME! Now when I started this the goal was 1lb a week and to get into the kabini - I've just about done the lb a weel but the kabini, it's a no go. So I'm taking my old ones and I will save the new one for my next holiday - spoilt mare! - in 7 weeks time
Sensible eating? Exercising? STUFF EM UP YOUR KAZOO! Don't worry guys, I'm taking the toad with me so you lot can have a break for a week - we've got a deal going, I'll feed his fat face, he'll roll me back through customs a week later.
To you lot - hope you have some beautiful weather while I am gone - although I expect it might be a tidge hotter on the Algarve, be super good and if you have a little blip remember one day does not a diet make. It's ok to slack off every now and then, just jump back on it.
Right off to do one more day of hard graft  and then adios amigos! :cool:Comps £2016 in 2016 - 1 wins = £530 26.2%

Don't be daft you're not getting on our nerves - it's not easy for any of us really
As for the comfort food thing - last time I was annoyed at OH I was determined not to let his manky old mood mess up my diet and all my good work. It's not easy but keep trying, like you said, at least your reaction to after effects of the toad is changing and getting more positive.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
frogga for those times of the month - are there foods that won't break the diet but that you still love? Can you buy those as a special treat so you don't feel the need to go for other stuff?
Like sometimes I buy expensive olive ciabatta rolls, or roasted peppers or strawberries or cherries. Something that's normally a bit more expensive than you would buy, so it's a treat and then you feel like you've eaten something lovely without it crashing the diet?working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0
