Hello everyone - it's a lovely day here today so I am trying to get all the washing and ironing out of the way, before the builder starts tomorrow - he's putting in a built in bookcase/unit in the dining room and also making a built in cabin bed thingie in DD2's room.
I have persisted with eating very lightly today - had some hot water with lemon first thing, then a glass of juice at about 12 and have just had some skinless chicken breast and shredded raw cabbage and carrot. I decided that I couldn't do just juice but am going to try and not have bread or potatoes or sugar today and see how I get on.
Frogga - don't beat yourself up about it - you CAN and you WILL do it so just go with the flow today and start again in the morning. I should know about starting again - I am the queen of diet failures!
Mrs M - the funeral sounds to have been a great tribute to your sister - I am glad that you were able to celebrate her life as well as mourning her passing and hope that your many happy memories will help sustain you from now on. There is a test you can get to see if ovarian cancer has a genetic link - same for bowel cancer. Have the medics looking after your sister spoken to you all about it? They test you every year too I think - a woman I used to work with took part in the initial study for it.
DD2 has gone to Chester Zoo with friends today so am here on my own (DD1 is at the bf's as per usual). Hope you are all having a good Sunday.Jane

Sounds like your sis had a great send off MrsM, time to look after yourself now.
Frogga - it's time you looked after yourself I think. You're obviously a good wife/Mum and very proud (rightly so) of your tadpoles but I think it maybe time to put yourself first for a change! Hard I know but occasionally we have to look after ourselves as well as the others around us
So dust yourself off and make yourself something nice, tasty and healthy, then in the week go and treat yourself.....a new hairdo, or a new top, lipstick ANYTHING as long as it makes YOU feel nice
I find it helps, a little treat bucks you up and helps you focus again - give it a try!!
Brekkie was poached eggs, polenta and mushrooms, lunch was a jacket and the remainder of the chilli beans, tea will be new potatoes, salad and something. OH has had to take his client out for Sunday lunch  so won't want much so I'll think of some thing nice for me.
I've spent the afternoon making loads of mini muffins (most are in the freezer but I did try 1) an SW quiche, some falafels and some SW tortilla chips for nibbles. The muffins are for OH (who's trying to kick the fags AGAIN  ) and GS who I'm looking after tomorrow:eek: he likes his 'cakey' does the little man:rotfl:
Back later folks, enjoy the sunshine :A0 -
I know what you mean MrsMc, it was the same thing for my BIL--very moving yet somehow uplifting at the same time......:o
Well Peeps---remember my June Challenge was to go down a bra size? I was sitting in the caff wiv me muvva the other day, sharing a chicken & bacon club & small portion of chips, when I realised that I now use the very last lot of clasps to 'do up' & they are still comfortable:j So I'm a bit like you Frogga, in that I want to be recognisably thinner in the blink of an eye, but have also cottoned on to the fact that even if it comes off slower than rush hour on the M25, it is at least shifting:pFull time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.

evening all1
just got in from work and had a catch up of the thread.
MRSM - am so glad that your sister had a fitting send off and that you will be taking good care of yourself. I had heard about the test for bowel cancer as my partner at work is waiting for one as a member of his family has terminal bowel cancer ATM.
Frogga - sorry you're having a hard time - dont you go leaving us again we like you too much!;) and you make me giggle with your witty posts!:D :T
food today
B - soaked muesli
S - banana
L - roasted butternut squash , steamed veggies, dry roasted roasters and 2 big yorkies:rolleyes: with cheese sauce made with skimmed milk.
D - 2 boiled eggs with 2 slices small seeded toast and a HM yoghurt.
just got in and felt peckish so had a bit of leftover pasta n sauce warmed up in the micro.

Right, I've painted my smile on , look
Feeling much more possitive this morning. Have made a deal with RS that we will make a serious concerted effort and get this bloody weight off
Thanks to everyone who joined in the "lests give that Frog a kick up the ar*e" sessionYou're true pals so you are. I think I sometimes just get down and then it all swamps over me like blanket weed (which is damm scarey I can tell you  ) and then I can't pull myself out and I start drowning in self pity  Oooooo that was good wasn't it? Very literal
Anyway REALLY relieved to be back on track this morning as I was NOT enjoying the carp I was eating anyway
Gonna go for a 6 mile walk today along the Dunwich beach with the hounds. That will defo lift my mood. Thanks for the Kind words Rocks. It's VERY hard to "put myself first" I'd start to feel really selfish and that I shouldn't be spending money/time on me
Anyway, have a really good day peeps, only 24 weeks til the new yearand I WILL be thin by then and therefore happy
Oo forgot to say, I have just weighed and I'm now 17st 5lb. So I have changed my WD to a Monday. Think it might help get me out of a rut and also not give me room to be a piggy at the weekend. I'm not too peed off as I was 19st 5lb in May and I have been 22st so at least it's all going the right way. Really I should be between 8 1/2 ~ 10 1/2 for my height 5ft 6in so I'm aiming for 10st. So that's 7st 5lb to come off? Easy Peasy! I rekon I'll have that off by Thursday dont you?Say it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

Hi all...
Weighed myself Friday morning and had STS, but didn't go to crackers despite being despondent! Had 2 weetabix for breakfast, salad wrap for lunch and a CURRY TAKEAWAY for Dinner, BUT i had tandoor chicken on a bed of spinach, plain rice and I microwaved 2 poppadoms (no oil) so think I handled that best I could!
Saturday: Breakfast - a skinny Starbucks muffin (was shopping with OH, for 5 hours. Gah). Lunch: chicken flatbread. Dinner: Chicken breast cooked in five spice, leftover rice from takeaway, veg and corn. Desert: Strawberries and a tiny bit of home made meringue
Sunday: B: fruit and yoghurt, lunch: ham and cheese sandwhich and 1 finger kitkat. Dinner: salmon fillet cooked in oven with philadelphia, boiled potatoes, sugarsnap peas and runner beans. A Fab lolly, few of OH's crisps and a Babybel. Also made cupcakes and ate 2.
Can't do any jogging on rebounder today as pulled a muscle in my calf somehow, which hurts quite a bit!
Today:
B: 1 slice of toast w/ light peanut butter, 1/2 a pear
S: pear
L: HM carrot and coriander soup, Muller light, pearHM fishermans pie w/ sugarsnap peas and runner beans
It's someones birthday at work so there will be cake, but think i'll get some buiscuits instead and have one of those
Love to you all
PS: Stood on scales today, naughty I know, and have lost 1 pound over the wekend? Am thinking of not weighing in for a fortnight to see what happens.0 -
Afternoon all,
Glad to see you back on track Frogga, just be satisfied with what you are losing and stop worrying about the end result...one day at a time!
Hugs to you to-day Mrs MC
Had some cereal with fruit this am and two slices of bread, butter and loganberry jam. Meeting SIL in a while for lunch, havent seen her for ages so looking forward to that, OH and DGS 1 coming with me.
Very little food in house, haven't shopped since I came back on 4th, very MS, but not great for menu planning.
Have a good day all
