    Evening everyone

    recovering spendaholic- i dont do toeposts either but i find they are fine. Took me a while to get used to them but nowhere near as bad as other toeposts i've worn in the past. Let me know how you get on with My health coach. I ordered it from play.com last wk but hasn't arrived yet:mad: . They said i've gotta wait 21 days before they'll do anything about it so cant canx it or get refund till then.

    Ended up making spicy potato wedges with grated cheese for tea yum yum.

    Have a good day tomoro everyone

    Evening ladies

    Just thought i'd pop my head through the door, and say "hello" and THANKYOU for all your lovely messages and PMs....

    Have had a takeaway this evening -about the 4th whilst we have been back... but it saved any of us cooking -really can't be ar*sed at the moment... but i have just been sticking to the eating what i fancy, when i fancy it....
    I haven't been able to weigh in as i only use my own scales -but on the plus side i picked up a new outfit for tomorrow -all in 18s and they fit fine -so at least that was one less stressful thing to deal with...had i been my old size/weight it would have made a bl**dy awful time just that bit worse -trudging round evans trying to find something suitable -as it is i picked up a top in adsa and a lovely long linen skirt and a silver grey chanille cardigan -that looks more like a jacket from mums catolouge...and in honor of sis a new pair of seriously pointy shoes as she always wore the pointiest highest shoes -she would understant that i haven't had a pair of heels like she would (as i couldn't bloody walk in em)..... Had my hair lopped and streaked the other day -so at least i won't look like a scarecrow tomorrow ..
    We have got our flight home booked for wednesday and I am sooooo looking forward to getting back into some sort of routine... there is nothing more i can do here -well once we have given her a stonking send off tomorrow... we know its gonna be a really difficult day, but its gonna be packed as she knew everyone.... none of us can even leave the house without hods of folks stopping us to offer us condolences and to ask the timing for the funeral and telling of us things she has done/said to touch their lives.... bless her little socks, its like she is a super star...she would find it all hillarious
    Anyhow.... i am looking forward to getting back home, and im going to get back into seriously healthy eating.... im missing it...
    so i had better get off for now...
    ooooh i love figgy biccies too lol
    Hope everyone is well, i have read all the posts but not much is making it through to the little bit of my brain that is still working right now...
    have a great evening all, and once again -thankyou

    Hey MrsM, glad you're coping ok. What a stupid thing to say, I really don't know what to say beyond my thoughts are with you and your family for tomorrow xx

    Just popped in to post my measurements

    Boobs 36 - started at 38 - total 2" loss
    Waist 29.5 - started 31 - total 1.5" loss
    Tum 38 - started 40.5 - total 2.5" loss (this is almost hip measurement, the most sticky out part of my belly)
    Bum 40 - started 41.5 - total 1.5" loss (this measurement hasn't moved since last time I measured :confused:)
    Thighs - 23" - started 25 - total loss 2" each

    Biggest movement since last measurement has been my thighs which is great as they are my problem area. All in all not too unhappy. Not ecstatic but I suppose it's all going in the right direction.
    Not hopeful for weigh in tomorrow though as feel bloaty as boogery, don't know what thats about.

    Have a sweet and peaceful evening everyone, I'm off to do some mad butt exercises *clenching as she wanders off into the distance*

  • I love fig rolls (mind you there isn't much that I don't like!), but haven't seen them in the supermarket for a while.

    I had a lovely tea of roast chicken, green beans, carrots, baby sweetcorn and boiled new potatoes, followed by a peach and some cherries - I am really full now!

    I've set up my health coach thingie and done my first steps challenge - it was only 500 steps to see if the gauge is right I think.

    Rockie - let me know if you find a cheesecake recipe.

    Mrs M - glad you are okay, but this must be such a difficult time for you all. Will be thinking of you tomorrow....

    Nix - well done on the shrinking statistics

    Welcome Mummygems!

    I was driving back from Asda before when the oldies came on Steve Wright and they were all songs from when I was a little girl and it was lovely to hear them again. When they played John Denver's Leaving on a Jet Plane I was instantly transported back to being about 10 years old in our back garden in the summer, and it really spurred me on to continue with my diet for some reason. I got to thinking about what I want to do in the future and I made a little list of things that I am going to do once I get this weight off. Up to now I have just been focusing on getting my heart done but now I have the following list:

    When I get the weight off I will:

    Fly to San Fransisco and drive down the Californian coast, past Big Sur and Carmel. I went to the States years ago and have never forgotten how wonderful it was;

    Buy some Red stiletto shoes;

    Enrol in a course for creative writing;

    Go on Who wants to be a Millionaire;

    Learn to ice skate.

    Some of those things I suppose I could do now, but I won't because I am too embarassed by my size.

    Hope you are all having a good evening. Frogga - Send that Toad round to some thin person who you don't like's house!

    Good Luck for tomorrow Mrs M:grouphug:

    OGITH - I use a 400g tin of green/brown lentils, I have cooked my own but I can't remember the weight :doh: The orange ones go too soft, you need the bigger ones for some texture.

    RS - the little booklet has quite a few cheesecake recipes
    Chocolate cheesecake - 225g vlf cottage cheese, 113g vlf fromage frais, 1 sachet Highlights hot chocolate, artificial sweetner to taste, 1 egg.

    Pre heat oven to 180C place cottage cheese, fromage frais and highlights in a liquidiser, add sweetner to taste, blend until smooth. Beat the egg and fold into the mixture. Pour into an ovenproof dish and bake for 20 mins. 1/2 a syn per serving.

    I havent tried it!! Most of the others are quite high syn values but there's an orange one that's 1 syn and uses sugar free jelly, I'll post it tomorrow if you want it.

    Late again...had no internet all day and was feeling seriously deprived.

    Today I have eaten:
    Bowl of strawberries;
    Chicken and ham salad sandwich;
    4 sausages;
    Beef with ginger and spring onions...shared a takeaway with OH....well we have been 38 years married to-day!
    4 chocolate coated ginger thingies.

    Going to weigh in to-morrow as have to start somewhere and might as well try to get back to normal asap.

    Mrs MC...my thoughts are with you and your family especially for to-morrow.

    Night all,

    Marie

  • Mrs M - Your sister sounds like a truly wonderful woman. What a tribute to her that everyone around wants to acknowledge her input to their lives. Give her the send off she deserves. My thoughts are with you and your family.

    Thanks for the extra info about those burgers, Rockie. I will be making them soon and let you know how I get on.

    RS - ~God I love John Denver. LOAJP is one of my favourite songs. I did an Open University short course in Creative Writing last year and I loved it. OH bought it for me for my birthday. It was all on the internet so it didn't matter how big I was!! I would have carried on but the next stage cost £600 quid so I couldn't afford it.

    Time for bed now. Night everyone

    Morning Peeps,

    Well feel a little big "yucky" this morning due to lack of sleep and too much carp yesterday :o

    Just hopped on the scales and I've put on 3lb

    Am I shocked? No :rolleyes:
    Am I dissappointed? Yeh of course :rolleyes:
    Is it gonna send me into a spiral of stuffing for another week? No actually. There are more important things happening in the world today so I'll get a grip and DEFO get back to 16 something for next Friday ;)

    A little thought for MrsM's sis ~
    Where do people go when they die?
    Perhaps like they say, they're a star in the sky
    I just don't know
    But to me it seems
    they'll make themselves at home
    Inside our dreams :A
    Have a nice day All xxxxx

    Thinking of MrsM and her family today.

    Right, I'm 2lbs heavier today, and like Frogga I have decided to get a grip. I was speaking to my sister last night. For the first time ever she weighs exactly the same as me, and she's getting married next year. Although she lives a long way away from me, I will post her my old slimming world book, and we are going to do this together. We are going to text each other our weights every Friday.

    So, with this in mind, todays food is :-
    B : Porridge
    L : Egg roll made with wholemeal bread
    D : quorn bolognaise

    snacks : fruit

    Take care all of you
