I got the seeds from a shop where everything comes in big bins and you help yourself .
Oo I hate those bins, they're very dangerous! It's very easy to fall in when you're a FrogSay it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

Hi all
Just popping in to say good afternoon. Didn't go Nandos, had my low fat noodles, yoghurt and pear... but someone at work gave me some oak cakes and I appear to have eaten 7 of them! I suppose they're high fibre and will come back out again tomorrow, I hope! Have added them into my calorie counter for the day, and as long as I don't have a mini milk after dinner i'll be on target (if i want one i'll have to do some more exercise!) Gah! xx0 -
I just got in from Asda where I bought myself the new Nintendo DS Health Coach game - it comes with a pedometer which you wear on your belt like a normal one, but this plugs into the DS lite and tells you how many steps you've done, how many calories you've used and other stuff. You enter your profile (height, weight etc) and it gives you daily challenges to do on the pedometer. It also have lots of brain training type games on it. A silly gadget really and more expensive than a pedometer at £21.75 but I do love gadgets, and it has spurred me on to stick with the diet a bit IYKWIM.
I was really looking forward to my lunch of chicken breast wrapped in parma ham but it was really horrible! I don't know what it was - the chicken tasted weird and the ham was way too salty and also tasted weird so I didn't eat it all and just had the salad and a nectarine and a peach. I got two Asda extra tasty chickens which I am cooking now and will have some for tea with veg and new potatoes.
I fancied making a free food cheesecake and wondered about using cottage cheese, Splenda and eggs and baking it in a low oven, and then topping it with strawberries - do you think it would be nice?Jane

Hello folks:hello:
Frogga - that bl**dy toad of yours stopped here for a visit:mad: and made me eat 2 slices of toast and a roll with butter and lemon curd  I've just kicked him out!
I've got a migraine lurking today, I always have a piggy day, side effect of the medication:rolleyes:
Brekkie was toast, poached egg and baked beans, lunch was a sweet potato jacket with cottage cheese and salad, tea is going to be veggie chilli and rice.
I went to Lakeland this morningI got some preserving jars and potato, onion and mushroom bags (3 for 2) Icould have spent loads more but didn't
I've also been in Asda and MrT's and got some whoopsies and special offers - Cauldron sausages £1 a pack in MrT (75p off)
Dance class tonight  but I'll have to see how the head is in a bit.
OGITH - sweet potato and lentil burgers.
500g sweet potato - microwave and mash, soften an onion and some garlic, then add 1tsp of cumin and the same of coriander. Mix with the sweet potato then add 2 tins on lentils (drained) Mix it all together then shape into burgers - it makes 8 and they freeze really well. I usually dry fry them with a bit of fry lite and they're delicious with a tomato sauce. I've also done them with a tin of lentils and a tin of butter beans so I would think you could substitute any pulses.
Right, off to sort out the tea before I have to trail out and pick OH up from work:rolleyes:

Erm could I please join you ladies?
Seeing MrsM's amazing weight loss (on her signature from the grocery challenge) I thought I would pop over here and have a read through your posts.
I really need to get my bum in gear as my weight is creeping back on and on since having my DD2 11 weeks ago and if I dont do something about it now I know I will be in a worse state so time to do something about it. I am toying with the idea of re-joining slimming world but am in two minds as I wonder if I should just stop eating so much and move more lol.
I hope you will have me)

Thanks for the words of support about not being super-mum.
I feel a bit of a fraud though as she is really a very good-natured baby and doesn't cry that much. Just that some days are more difficult than others. I have a friend who offers to help, but that would involve her bringing her 2 year old, which can make for even harder work lol. My OH is very good and around a lot more now it is the summer holidays. I am in awe of single parents and those who do have very anxious babies who cry all the time - it must drive you completely mental!
Anyway - now that below 13 stone looks within reach my sabotaging instincts have come to the fore. A mint feast and chocolate brownie were scoffed today. So I had better be good over the weekend!

Hello all
Rockie, thanks for that, they sound delicious. Daft question, but what size tins of lentils? I'd cook my own, you see. I'm assuming you use red ones. I'll definately give those a try. Hope your head gets better, it's annoying when things like that make you miss stuff you enjoy.
RS - STS is great, especially after your loss last week. If you had a 10lb loss every week you'd be worried, wouldn't you? And I never used to like toe posts but you soon get used to them. I wear them all summer now (even in the rain).
Squirmy - ditto about the STS. It's not a gain so it's good.
Angelnikki - :T well done girl. See, you can do it even if you're not trying.
JoJoB - Do you ever express? Could you leave some expressed milk for someone else to feed her while you have a break? Just a thought. It's hard to focus on your own sanity when you've got a little one, but it is quite important.
Anyhoo, I'm feeling very positive about my WD tomorrow. Food today;
B - 2 slices toast with peanut butter and jam.
L - packet of Aldi vegetable chips(not very good, I know, but I can't resist them.
D - Veggie casserole.
Am going to Aqua tonight too. Still feeling that positive July vibe.
Be good everyone.0 -
