    :j :j :j Yippee Gran's back from Oz :j :j :j
I was only thinking about you this morning, I must be telepathetic or something :D SO glad you're home safe and sound. You have really been missed :A
I got my book "how to think yourself thin" that Tappy recomended from Amazon at 11 oclock :D How's that for fast delivery? I only ordered it last night at 6 :T
I've read about half way and listened to the 1st CD but it told me not to read anymore today. I've been thinking about it very hard and concentrating on what she said . You'll never guess what? It worked ~ I'm thin! I've just been upstairs to check and , yup it's true I can get me size 10 jeans on ! Well if I'm honest they are a bit tight on the hips but hey you cant have everything :D
Ah, back to reality  Actually I am quite possitive about what the 1st half said as it did make alot of sense so here's hoping that in a few months time I really will be getting my size 10's on ;) thanks for recomending I look at it tappy :kisses3: I 'm not really being cheeky, well not to you anyway my friend :D
Now gonna start to make the tea as I'm bored :o

    Hello folks:hello:
I've been for a swim today :j I swam for almost an hour and did 1mile:eek: Many, many years ago I used to swim that distance 2 or 3 times a week but these days I don't often have the time:rolleyes: so I was pleased that I could still manage it:D

Brekkie was a mushroom omlette, 2nd brekkie (preswim) was 2 WW toasts with marmalade and a banana, lunch was SW chips and beans. I didn't get my lunch until nearly 3pm so I'll have a late tea, probably quorn dippers with either rice or a salad.

Rose - don't worry about the whiteboard, we technicians have to deal with permanant marker on a daily basis:rolleyes: , ethanol does the trick (unless it's a posh school/college 'cos they'll have the proper cleaning stuff), no-one will ever know you've been there :rotfl:

Frogga - Amazing, size 10's???? be careful you don't disappear on us :rotfl:

    See you later folks :A

    Hi all,

Glad to see you got back safely Marie.

Thanks for the pm's girls, very kind thought. ;) DS1 isn't so good just at the moment but today is a good day. :)

DH and I went to our GP and for help yesterday despite his refusal to go and she has assured us she will be with us for the long stay and will treat him at home if needs be and for as long as it takes, even if thats years. She treated me some years ago and never left me till I was well so I'm hopeful. She too believes its Asperger's complicated by depression but they may take some time to properly confirm. Life is a ball sometimes, isn't it?

Anyway, back to topic... I lost 3lbs on Saturday but didn't get to post it. :o I'm managing to keep from eating the fridge out most days  but my mum has had me in the garden burning up all that nervous energy building my first ever proper vegetable plot, which is a cute as a button. :p
I've never done anything as theraputic so I'm guessing my mum knows a thing or two about these things. I also have lots of free and healthy vegetables already for my plate. :D

Thanks again for remembering us... I maybe haven't been on the ball with the thread so much lately but I've been trying to keep up with you all. ;)

    Take care and keep plodding.

I thought about suggesting this but didn't want people thinking I had a 'problem' just happening to have absolute ethanol in my house :o
Perk of the job, also came in useful having pure acetone to hand when OH managed to get expanding foam all over a pane of glass!
  • Hello everyone - :T Toni and :T Lemonade on great losses!

Welcome Back Marie - glad you had a good holiday and 8lbs isn't that much - take it from someone who can gain 2 stone on a holiday!

Floyd - I find that egg for breakfast is the most filling thing. I boil two eggs until nearly hard and then chop them up in a cup with salt and pepper - it's lovely honest, even if it does sound a bit rank!

Pigpen - years ago before you could get diet lemonade I used to get lime and soda (with or without vodka in it) - I used to really like it!

I have had a good day so far but am quite hungry now!

    Breakfast - a banana
lunch - two slices of dry wholemeal bread with sliced cold turkey, a slice of ham and a cold sainsburys BGTY sausage with a little bit of light salad cream, with a cup of hm vegetable soup. Nectarine, plum and few cherries.
Dinner - not sure yet - aam currently cooking some skinless chicken thigh fillets stuffed with a bit of lauging cow cheese an wrapped in parma ham - might have that with salad.

I am nervous about WI tomorrow because I always want to lose more than I actually do IYKWIM - and then I get all disheartened! Stupid isn't it?

Mrs M - hope you are okay

Cheerfulness - :T :T :T :T on the 3lb loss - stress of any kind makes me eat enough for an emergent nation - I am seriously impressed.

Hope you are all having a good evening.
    Jane

I think I eat too quickly  I just timed myself eating my tea. I had a big plate full of roasted veggies, SW chips and some beans :D I sat down at 6.29 and when I finished it was 6.33 That was quick wasn't it? :o

I have thought for a long time that I eat really quickly, like it's a race or something

Oooooooooooo perhaps it's some primative instinct kicking in from when you had to eat your slugs quick before some big ol toad came along and knicked em, or a cat came along and ate you  I bet that's what it is, it's instinct, nothing to do with greed at all :D

Well, techies need SOME perks ;) you'd be suprised wot I got under my sink :o

Frogga - have you ever listened to Paul McKenna? One of his tips is to slow your eating down, put your knife and fork down as you chew each mouthful. It does help, it's one of his tips that's stuck with me, I always used to finish before OH but now he's usually washed up and is screaming for his pud before I'm done (hide behind a rock and the toads and cats won't see you)

*waves to Pigpen* :hello: long time no see :hello:

Hope you are all having a good evening.

    Evening ALll,

i have read a few times that people who have eggs for breakfast consistently lose more weight than people who have cereal etc, i thinki ts to do with the protein that fills you up more, just shame you cant have em fried!! :rotfl:
and ps i dont think it sounds rank, it sounds lovely.

i quite often have mashed up hard boiled eggs on ryvita with a bit of salt

Pigpen and Rockie - i used to wolf my food like someone was going to take my plate, its only now i have tried to start cutting back that i see how much of a pig i was!! i would literally hoover it up!! :o

i have the Paul McKenna cd's and they are very good, plus i quite like the sound of his voice, count backwards from 300, 299.298....:grinheart

Hi Pigpen and Meanmarie!! :hello: nice to see you back!

RS - congrats on the 3lb loss!!!

    Hoping Mrs M is ok.

have a lovely evening peeps xx
Please be nice to all moneysavers!
