Hi all,
So this week I have STS which I am not entirely surprised by as my eating has been fairly erratic due to us driving all over the place to see different bands and baking cakes for a million different people. We also went out last night for Mexican food which is heavy on the calories so I guess I am lucky to have maintained.
Next week I plan on making a real effort to get more active as I feel really sluggish but impending TOTM won't help with that either
Today I am going to make some soup as having that for lunch every day seemed to accelerate my loss and I was less hungry plus its much cheaper than having fresh salad every day.
B: Nothing, stayed in bed too long
L: Something to use up the excess eggs we have in the fridge, omelette or scrambled eggs maybeVeggie cottage pie with veg from FIL allotment, not sure what veg though, we have just had a call to collect a box from him
Have a great weekend all0 -
Hi All,
I'm in a 'turning over a new leaf' frame of mind so full of extra determination to lose more than the 1/2lb a week which is all I seem to be managing at the moment. I bought a lovely new notebook yesterday to record my eating in and have drawn out a graph for the inside front cover to mark my weight loss over the next 12 weeks. I also bought a new pair of scales which show fractions of a llb in the hope that that will be a bit more incentive. I've turned it onto weighing in lbs rather than stones and pounds too. So my graph has started off at 150lbs this morning and I've room to get down to 140lbs in the space I've allowed myself. I really would like to get down to 130lbs eventually but didn't have room for that.
I bought lots of knitting wool yesterdat for my projects as I found knitting really helps to keep the munchies at bay and have started a second scarecrow as I really enjoyed knitting the last one, even though I have no recipient in mind at present. I also bought a cross stitch kit of butterflies and wild flowers which I am looking forwards to doing. I've never done a kit before, always designed my own but this was only £4.99 so I couldn't resist it.
OH is working for the next 4 days so won't be in much but I am also going away tomorrow afternoon till Monday evening. I'm going to Stratford with a friend to see some shows linked to teaching Shakespeare which should be good fun. We are staying in a B&B on Sunday night so I shall have to be careful not to overeat whilst we are away.
DS and fiancee are here for a meal tonight so I'm planning to make individual toad in the holes for them and will just have mini Yorkshires with vegetables and gravy myself as I'm not that fond of sausages. Instead of baking for them though as I usually do, I have found 2 fresh cream doughnuts in the freezer that I've defrosted. That way I can't be tempted to scrape bowls or eat the left overs.
It's quite sunny here though there is a bit of a breeze so I am planning a brisk walk shortly. I don't need any shopping so will try and have a circuitous route round the village and be out for at least an hour. That should help me do my 10,000 steps for the day. I shall take the pedometer even though it tends to be a bit unreliable.
Have a good day all.

It seems to be a bit of a trend that some of us are struggling at the mo and as one who likes to set the trend and stay ahead of the game it's good to know I'm so fashionable
I think a lot of us will be unpausing the button on monday and pressing play againMonday will be a GREAT time to renew our vowels and make a fresh start. There's plenty of time for us to get in shape, and who was it last year who said they wanted to be a Christmas Cracker this year and not a Christmas pudding? Well, that's what I'm looking to, Christmas as a nice slim Frog :T Good luck to us all (again! ):D

Is it any surprise that the tadpoles take after their mum...saying something funny comes naturally to our Frogga...almost like breathing:p But WELL DONE that Tadpole:T
I too, have to make a more concerted effort with watching my waistline:o I was watching summat just yesterday & the experts on there actually admitted that diets are not designed to promote sustained weight-loss. You do have to retrain your body to accept a different way of eating, as in smaller portions & restricting unnecessary calories & fats. If it wasn't for the fact it was a blokey, I would've sworn it was our own MrsMc:D
So I've to think of a July challenge...... .....meal plan & reduce portion sizes methinks, to help set me up to become Awesome in August. Ooooh---I could have adJust in July as my catch-phrase:DFull time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.

Hi All,
I've lost half a pound, so failed miserably at my JIJ as I STS all month!!!!!
Oh well July will be different I just know it.
Well done to your little one Frogga and tell her too ignore the old man- I remember once my DD2 was about 10 and went to a swimming gala, won gold for freestyle breast and butterfly and got a silver in backstroke, also won top girl trophy! What did her dad say.... what was wrong with your backstroke then- I could have throttled him.
Eating is erratic, but it's not July yet!
Hope everyone is well especially mrsm, cheerfulness and toni .
My little springer fell asleep in my arms last night0 -

Can you imagine how many Froggy librarians she must have come accross over the years? I was touched
My "Just Get Your As*e In Gear In July Challenge" Will be to loose enough weight to be 15 something  I wonder if that's pushing it a bit?????????????

Well done Tadpole 1 :T :T I think MrFrog and my OH went to the same charm school, they can never say anything good or complimentary, they have to make some sort of funny(not) comment:mad: I did the BTSwimathon a few years ago 100 lengths, I did a personal best time and lapped an 18 year old lad from the college  . I was sooooo chuffed,
what did OH say.............."your style is cr*p, you could do with a few lessons" If I hadn't been so kn*ckered I'd have flattened him
Writing is a fantastic gift, you must be very proud of your kids
Been shopping most of the day getting bits for the hols, spent a bl**dy fortune:eek:
I've had a rubbish food day but done loads of walking!
I don't want any tea yet, I'm really bloated 'cos I've eaten too much bread so I might not bother with anything.
Kyle - cracked feet, get some Flexitol Heel Balm, it's brilliant. I use it every day now and wouldn't be without it, I can wear flipflops and sandals without any problem and my feet look nice(r) now.
Saversarn - :grouphug:
I want to be a Christmas Cracker :snow_grin My dance class are having a dinner dance in November and I would love to be able to wear a really nice dress for it, I wear combats or jeans and tshirts most of the time or black pants and a top on the rare occasions I go out so............;) I think I'll make that my goal
See you tomorrow folks :A0 -
