HI all, hugs to all those with illness and troubles in the family.

Have family issues also. Family meal is arranged trouble is my dad refuses to acknowledge my OH's existence, the step kids have only met him twice so "just going out for a meal" seems to turn incredibly complicated and it's only those that have actually witnessed it that seems to fully understand and not think I'm over-reacting about it being an issue :(

    So haven't been good.
Started well with porridge and cherries. An apple as a snack.
Then arrangements were altered making things more complicated for me. Then I went food shopping.
    So have had:
Microwave omelette, muller fruit corner, half a pack of huge shortbread choc chip biscuits (which taste so good), half a punnet of cherries, half a pack of goldbears, and a tiny peace of "heaven" chocolate - it is soooo good it's staying in the fridge at work to make sure I eat it slowly and taste every bit.

All because my dad STILL doesn't seem to think that at over 30 years of age I should make my own decisions

Newlywed - that's what parents do  my Mum still knew best (or so she thought) until she passed away!
We were married for 10 years before she accepted OH and then only because she HAD to (long story) but in the end she thought he was wonderful! (I knew she didn't alays know best;) )

Or maybe it's 'cos he's a man....................my OH is driving me to distraction.....via the fridge:mad:
Why do I eat when I'm upset/angry/fed up with him:mad:

Saversarn - hope your pooch is ok ((((hugs))))

Philip Larkin - This Be The Verse

They f**k you up, your mum and dad.
They may not mean to, but they do.
They fill you with the faults they had
And add some extra, just for you.

But they were f**ked up in their turn
By fools in old-style hats and coats,
Who half the time were soppy-stern
And half at one another's throats.

Man hands on misery to man.
It deepens like a coastal shelf.
Get out as early as you can,
And don't have any kids yourself.

Good auld Larkin  This ones for you newlywed ;)
