    Hello folks :hello:
Well today isn't exactly going to plan  We went into Derbyshire for our day out, planning to visit the camping show (yes, I know, We're saddos:rolleyes: ) We got there and they were packing it up - mid morning and they had half the tents down and nothing to speak of in the marquee
We went on to our favourite garden centre where the plan was to have a delicious HM soup and a chunk of HM bread..................the price had gone up to £3.45 for a bowl of soup and they were serving a mini plastic roll with it:mad: so we had a piece of cake instead and then an ice cream in Bakewell OOPS! We noticed that the cafe was half empty when it's usually thronging so perhaps others have noticed??????

I'm planning a lentil roast with roasties and veg for tea so will try to be good for the rest of the day.

Nix - thanks for the running link, one of my mates is a runner and thinks I'm going to do the Great Manchester Run with her next year :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Hi All,

I don't seem to have been on as much as usual this week as I have been so busy knitting. The results are below if they work. I started Tuesday night so am pleased with how quickly I have finished the scarecrow. I have just the eyes to do as I haven't any felt in the house - at the moment they are just paper for the purpose of the photo. It has certainly kept me well away from food whilst I have been doing it. I even burnt the dinner yesterday as I was too busy knitting!!

To see my scarecrow use the following link http://cid-aec0e7fc80cc0d2c.skydrive.live.com/self.aspx/My%20Anti%20Eating%20Project
    and click on the folder.

I have DS and his fiancee round for a meal shortly. I have made a shepherd's pie and disguised various vegetables in it - even though he is 22! I've sneaked in spinach and mushrooms plus blended assorted vegetables. And of course the minced beef is padded out with oats - though I must admit I've been doing that for years. I've also made a variation on rasberry biscuits and done a raspberry slice and a sultana slice for treats afterwards.

B: Muesli with fruit and fibre, skimmed milk and raisins. Cranberry and raspberry juice.
L: Scotch broth. HM yoghurt with raspberries.
D: Shepherd's pie with broccoli, cauliflower and peas. Banana for me, raspberry slice etc for everyone else.

  • Hi all,

I posted at lunch time but it disappeared and I couldn't face typing it all out again in my fragile state.... nothing serious, just had far too good a time at a 50th party last night!! The lady who's birthday it was is quite well to do (and very generous!) so the buffet was none of your usual curly sarnies and soggy crisps, more of a carvery with all sorts of cold meats, salmon, salads, a selection of glorious looking puds of which I sampled two, with cream of course, cheese and bickies, and even bottles of wine on the tables to help ourselves to!! Also had several vodkas with coke....dancing like a demon for 3 hours is thirsty work you know:p ... and a fantastic night was had by all. Don't think I'll have done the scales any favours tomorrow morning but don't really care to be honest, I thoroughly enjoyed every minute!!:D

Might venture out in a bit to see how much of a battering my poor old tubs and hanging baskets have taken, it's been blowing a gale here today... was going to go earlier but fell asleep on the sofa this afternoon:o .

    Food today...

    b- 2 paracetamols and a cuppa
L- one and a half pieces of toast
D - not sure yet but feeling decidedly peckish now so off for a rootle in a min

Love the scarecrow Rose! Have a lovely evening everyone

Hi DD hope you're feeling better soon hun..glad you had fun. Sounds like a healthy buffet too;).

Windy here in Yorkshire too, and how! But at least it's warm. Get well soon hun,

Queenpig (great name) well done on the loss

    be good everyone, Jay xx
    Anytime;)
  • Thanks Jay! Feeling a lot better now I've eaten, hadn't realised how hungry I was and just wolfed down beans on toast with cheese on.... not quite as fancy as last night's food but just as enjoyable when it was exactly what I wanted!

Bath and a very early night for me tonight I think.... see you tomorrow folks!

    Hi all,

Been a patchy weekend just because of visiting friends and eating out but I am confident there hasn't been too much damage done.

    B: Nothing
L: Wholewheat fusilli with HM arrabiata sauce, a teaspoon of grated parmesan and a hot ciabatta roll rubbed with garlic and a drizzle of olive oil. Also had a big mixed salad with balsamic vinegar
D: Nothing yet, may not have anything else just to minimise the damage that I may or may not have done by sticking my finger in the cake mix while I was baking :)

S: A coffee cupcake (not iced) just ate it hot out of the oven with a cup of tea
