    No, you shouldn't be upset.

It's some totally random woman, and it doesn't matter at all what she thinks of you! Leave her to her strange world, and enjoy your cats!

I wouldn't worry too much. She was probably just annoyed at not having been offered the red carpet treatment.

Mind you arriving 15 minutes earlier is just plain rude!

    I've been Money Tipped!
You know, my family have big dogs and whiney, we used to try and get them out of th way when peole viewed the houses they sold, but invariably the people who bought our houses were animal people and usually the cats sold the place, walking from room to room with people, jumping on beds. Exactly the opposite of great advice. That said, I would try and remember to pick up bowls now, as it gets hotter it will get yukkier and litter really is a big no-no!

I really wouldn't worry about her at all, in fact, she's one you a favor as you'll never forget to check the house is well presented now with no evidence of you living there, lol ;)

what a silly cow. Life's too short to worry about the likes of her. Seriously, I can't imagine anyone who really loved a house enough to buy it being put off by a cat bowl (even a cat hater and I'd probably refuse to sell it to them on principle lol). You're bound to get your fair share of morons viewing your property but someone will buy it so try not to stress about it. When I was selling a flat some years ago, I had 2 posh toffs come in and bray about the decor and bounce on the bed, so I told them to b.. off and I still sold the flat and unlike you, I'm not a neat and tidy person! all the best.

Point out that you have tried putting the cat bowls in cupboards, on the roof and in the car, but for some reason they seem to work best on the floor.
  • It amazes me people can be this petty.

At the end of the day, she was there to view a house to see whether she liked it or not.
She shouldn't have judged you for leaving cat bowls out for peets sake, people are sooo stupid!

It amuses me that people have this thing about presenting a house properly, when it shouldn't really matter as at the end of the day it is just the house they are buying and not the contents!

Lol she should have seen some of the flats I've viewed then! Where's poor kitty supposed to eat and drink? Pets need fresh water at all times, I certainly wouldn't hide my cat's water bowl for any amount of time.

Had you just put out some smelly wet food or not emptied the litter tray recently then she would have had reason to wrinkle her nose. But it's kitty's home too and his/her belongings should not have to be hidden.

    Weird.

But then what do I know? I find happy looking kids, dogs and cats almost sell a house and have had to be restrained from making an offer on a couple of prices to include the dog...

It never ceases to amaze me at the comments from viewers.

We have a house on the market which is near a large steel works.
Its big, grey and puffs steam from the top all day long.

One viewer commented that they didn't like the fact you could see it from the front of the house.

The fact that you can see it whereever you stand in my area, and infact for miles around made the comment laughable! Why look in the area at all! :rotfl:
Its a well known fact that the proximity to the steel works is close here.

You always have something near you that annoys... Roads, Trains, Factories, Cockerels, Cows Mooing.

This women sounds like a price muppet. If that's the worst thing she can say about your house, hurray! It means it's perfect!

I had someone turn up for a viewing once who complained about the fact the kitchen wasn't at the front of the house. I mean he was really !!!!ed off with us. Er...hello? The details showed very clearly it was a two bed end terrace and you walked straight into the living room from the front door.

Hubby told him if used the back door instead of the front it wouldn't be a problem.

I'm sure he heard us laughing as he went up the path.....
