I'm hoping she meant that it would cost £90 for 4 or 5 sessions if not I'm definitely going for the chop :rotfl::rotfl:I've decided not to go for the cheap hairdressers by me again - they're too busy doing their own hair and discussing their next night out

I think £90 is the normal price anywhere, for highlights Nicki. I had mine done with a full head of foils, a base tint, and a blonde highlight put in, as well as a cut and blow dry and I had to pay £85.00. I nearly dropped down on the floor in fright..

Trouble is I have been to three hairdressers now and that seems to be the price around here..ack!!

I would love to know of a hairdresser that does it for less.

GnB !!!!{Hugs}} for you. That must have been a terrible shock to you all.

Well I'm afraid I haven't done anything today, apart from wipe down the worktops and cupboard doors in the kitchen, a wash load of washing washed and hung on the line and washed up breakfast/lunch things. Oh and I have put a beef casserole, on slow, in the oven for tonights tea when OH gets in from playing with choochoo's at the railway.

I'm kind of feeling sorry for myself today as I got very sunburnt on my shoulders and chest yesterday while at the Garden Show. It was windy and I didn't think it was that overly hot - well not sunburn weather..lol

So anyway I am going to put my feet up on the sofa and watch a little t.v., might even do some stitching, this afternoon.

    hello everyone.

just bobbing in while the 2 boys are asleep. It has been a bit of a long one here. MIL came and went, and lots got done, and no i didn't rest that much.

I have also developed mastitis, and have the most painful cracked nipple from feeding. It brings me to tears every time he feeds on that side. I felt fluey on tuesday, but luckily that went before i had to face the day alone with both boys. (any tips? i have lasinoh - i keep exposing myself to air - next i think i am going to have to express off that side as it needs time to heal and isn't getting it.)

I am not doing too badly with the house - washing and basic cooking is getting done. I persuaded MIL not to do my ironing and to scrub the bathroom for me instead, as GandB was right - she does wreck my clothes with the iron - you can't really clean a loo that wrongly.

i have not been on the computer much, but guns big hugs to you - sounds an awful situation. anw's mum glad you made it through Friday and now have this holiday to look forward to.

i was going to say some other stuff but i read the thread this morning, and we spent the past couple of hours at a kiddies birthday party and my head is now pounding from the racket. DS enjoyed it though and it was better than sitting in all day.

Think i am required to feed now as DS2 fed at 10:30 and has been asleep since - monkey -i'm sure the total lack of any pattern in feeding is why i am so sore.

    See you all later hopefully

I pay £28 for a haircut and they charge £30-40 for a colour! I'm not sure I would pay £90!

I've managed to tidy the kitchen and do 3 loads of washing, am going to clean the bathroom in a bit cos I didn't do it the other day.

I have managed to finish painting dd1's ceiling and do an undercoat on the whole room so am pretty pleased with myself there. Just need to have a good tidy up of complete house.

I ache now so I might go clean the bathroom and then have a good soak:D

    Hi everyone

Been quite busy again. I've ripped up and tipped the carpet from the sunlounge now, and nipped into B & Q for paint on the way home. Progress is slow but sure! I've had the beef in the oven on a low temp in the hope that it will be nice and tender. DD's BF is arriving in a couple of hours and I haven't met him before, so want it to be a nice meal for DD's benefit.I'm going to make an apple crumble for pudding with apples from our own tree.

I've ordered our garden furniture today and if we're lucky, it'll be here by Wednesday. :D Now we just need the nice weather back to use it! I want to get a nice gas BBQ as well. I've given up waiting for SIL's father to come back and finish my garden after 12 months plus. We'll just have to do what we can ourselves - that should be fun. We did get a pile of rockery stones from Freecycle two weeks ago, they just need arranging.

Hope everyone is enjoying the BH weekend, in spite of wet weather. At least I don't need to water my garden!

    G&B - (((hugs)))

After speaking to my mum I'm thinking I'll go for the chop when it comes to my hair, I'll ask them to chop it short so they can cut out as much of the dark brown as possible. Then I'll go back and get it cut again in August and it should be all grown out by then ;)

Flying today has been this :
    • Dishes
    • My bed stripped & remade with new bedding I bought yesterday (down scaled from a kingsized to double for the summer) and I must say black bedding is nice :D
    • DD's bed made up with her new quilt also bought yesterday
    • Wash load out on the line, brought back in re-washed and now in the drier
    • 2nd wash load in the machine, 3rd (4th & 5th) waiting for DD to get back
    • Trip to mums to pick a scooter up for DD that used to be my brothers :D
Now I just need to fix the pressurewasher (2 minute job ;) ) and I'm swapping it for my mums exercise bike :j:j Tomorrow I have someone coming to collect a mattress I put on Freecyle :D And I will be getting around to listing ebay stuff soon I think, infact I might just relist what I've already put on but lower the prices ;) Off to play a game or two on Facebook, can't concentrate on my OU work :o

Michelle.. expressing will hurt more! Keep lathering the lansinoh on after every feed try feeding him in a different position so the pressure is on a different part and try shoving more of the areola in his mouth, there should be none showing above or below his lips.. lol.. make sure he gets a really good mouth full. It sometimes helps to express a little to take the pressure off before each feed.. wait until the letdown has occured before latching him on (I was a breastfeeding counsellor in a former life!.. I have the certificates to prove it)

I have 45 things on ebay now.. I was aiming for 20 listed today and have done more
