G+B - hugs. What upsetting news for you, hope you managed to sleep after that.0

G&B sorry to hear about your colleague, it always seems even more shocking when someone seems to be recovering so well.
So it seems I am the first to post again today!
Got the caravan out with Dad yesterday, the kids are so excited now. Will be loading it up today and popping to get a few smaller packs of things to take with us ie 1ltr milk and those fun size packs of cereal. Going to have to read the intructions on how to set the toilet up as that was always DH's job!
Glad you had a great hol soappie
Lil-me having a caravan is great, our storage fees are going to be £300 at next renewal on an approved storage facility which as CCTV, secure fencing and other stuff. Insurance for the caravan varies, ours is only 4 years old and will cost about £200 for the year. If you want any more info then you know where I amalthough it will prob be next weekend before I can reply.

I need to do loads of flying today, starting with the kitchen which is a tip! I did manage to do 2 coats of paint on DD1's ceiling last night though so something has to give:oDFW no.630!

Yep yep yep - family time today but just straightening mine and OH's minds as to where we are and he doesn't get anything done on a weekday because he's working/commuting such silly hours. He's taken the dog and DD out for a walk after gracing me with an hour's sleep in so have a bit of time to think!
Hope everyone has a good day - weather is currently holding up well here, wonder if it'll last?!

Morning all
Was woken at 7am by a text message off ex in reply to one I sent him at midnight :rotfl::rotfl: I still haven't heard from DD since her morning message yesterday morning:( But she's coming home today and should be here by 4.30
:D
First wash load is on, and I'm going to put it on the washing line and then go for a walk. I've got lots of things on my mind ATM and walking helps me think them through....I'm just wondering why I'm not a size 6 as a result of all this walking:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Off to get some brekkie and then wash the dishes and put the washing out. Back later :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Morning all
Big hugs G&B - so sad...
Have a lovely hol A&W in your caravan. I hope the weather won't be too bad..... it's not looking good in here for the next few days.
I actually slept in a bit this morning (well, until 7.30). All week on hol, I'd been waking up at 5am, rolling over, trying to get back to sleep and being unable to. Consequently, I was up most mornings by 6am - but I did go to bed early as well.
Wet and grey here this morning. Not sure what I shall do with the day but need to do the following at some point:- Stick some stuff up on ebay
- Do some food shopping
- Put DW on
- Put BM on
- Do washing up from last night
(there's some stuff I don't put in the DW)
- One more load for the washing machine
- Start updating community website
- Iron stuff that was washed yesterday
- Download pix from camera from holiday and sort.

Morning, thank you for your kind words everyone, i'm still in shock i think. First thing i did this morning was log onto his facebook, there are messages pouring in from all over the world, there are going to be a lot of people very upset at being so far away and not being able to come back for the funeral.
Dont think i'll get much done today, have OU work that really needs done but i'll see how i feel. I'm still sitting crying into my tea:oThe trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
hugs to g&b
AnW's mum - glad you managed to get through those few days okay. Have a lovely time in your caravan. We never had a touring caravan, but a fixed site one for years when I was growing up, and we used to spend nearly every weekend there, and all the school holidays - just brilliant. Except the year it rained non-stop for three weeks until my mum cracked and rang Dad to come pick us up...
soappie - welcome back! You sound like you had a great time.
Busy yesterday, doing the weekly shopping, and loads of washing, but managed to spend most of the afternoon in the garden. I bought a new lawnmower, and cut the grass. Not over impressed with the finish and the grass collection, but hopefully when the grass is a bit shorter, it will cut better - it seemed to be shredding the ends rather than cutting them off cleanly. I also cleared away all the dead tulip stems, and pulled out the primulas and wallflowers that had finished. I've dug in some manure, and prepared the areas - so perfect litter trays for the local cats.:mad:I did put on pepper dust, but it's rained all night... The annuals I've grown aren't quite big enough to plant out yet - maybe in a week or two.
As it's raining this morning, I shan't be going to the allotment - DD and I popped down yesterday evening to pick the first broad beans for lunch, and a lovely lettuce for tomorrow, and I also picked a small bunch of the first sweet peas, and some lovely pinks to take over to Mum this afternoon.
I have high hopes that OH will finally put on the second door on the wardrobe, so that it is finally finished today. It's really good to have a wardrobe, but I wish I'd allowed more hanging space, as there isn't really enough room, and I don't even own that many clothes! May flit round downstairs with the vacuum in a minute, and not doing any flying tomorrow, as it's my birthday!
Have a good weekend! It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0
