Pigpen, fingers crossed he's got there safe.
g&b, not really good news but in a way, suppose at least that's one less op the poor little tike needs, but I am sure if it started causing her pain etc they would have to do something surely.
poohbear I think I need some of those grabber sticks, I have a pile of things I have swept together in the corner just now which I haven't been able to bend to pick up as my backs going daft today, I'll try again in a mo, if not DP can do it, where did you get them from?
So far so good, kitchens gleaming, I did a lot more in there than I planned, bathroom also gleaming 3rd washer load nearly done but struggling with bending to the washer today. I think I'm going to need to do more than 4 loads looking at the pile still left. Still no sign of DP so rang my friend to say don't come over yet, she's coming over so he can fix her car. Sitting room started but not finished, dining room not started.....but I am getting there. Crossed off quite a bit of my list so farOne day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -

Thanks poohbear, i dont think it causes her pain, it is hidden most the time as she wears a spinal brace. She is becoming more aware of it though. Hopefully as she grows the muscle might strengthen enough it might repair itself, though that is fairly unlikely. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
GnB.. in a few years they may be able to fix it.. and so long as she isn't in pain that is the important thing. She sounds like a very brave little one!
My cotbed has now gone.. *fling*
DS2 got to school in one piece.. I stopped for lunch so am now fed.... I must make a cuppa though. Tiddles is outside in the sunshine eating her pasta. I have 7 loads of laundry to fold and dinner for tonight to sort.. I have a staff/governor training thing at school so hubby is collecting from school and doing dinner.. I forgot to book tiddles in nursery tomorrow afternoon so I'll have to do that later. Then I might just need to go to the pub!
MY house is a pit.. I haven't had 5 minutes to do anything all week!!
So.. quick whizz over the kitchen this afternoon and a S&S in the bathroom.. back in about 4 days lol...

Ah! According to my Radio Times, Setanta 1 will be showing 'Live SPL. A crucial game' :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I have to say I'm sorry, but I think Celtic will win, so my guess would be that they'd show the game from Tannadice. However, it aint over til the fat lady sings....
Where is Vanilla? Anyone heard from her recently?
I'm sorry to hear about DD, G&B? Fingers crossed there will be an improvement as she grows.

OOh mixed emotions here... my local tesco (where i used to work) was closed off last night when OH was on way home cos someone had been shot in the carpark... looked it up online and was only saying to OH this morning how sad it was cos he was with his 7 year old daughter apparently...... mum just rang to tell me they have named him in the local news and its my ex!!!
I hate him cos he cheated on me and left me for his female "best mate" (whos daughter it is actually - not his. She was 2 when joe started seeing lisa) He made an absolute fool of me and i lost everything including all my friends during the split and it took ages to rebuild my life.....BUT i still feel a little bad.I mean i hate him but even im not that bitter to be happy at thought hes been shot!!
:rotfl: Luckily hes stable apparently.. but still EEK! Dunno what to think...

Morning everyone -hugs to those in need - especially Pigpen, G n B and AnW. AnW I did PM you back but not sure if you have had it as the site crashed again when I sent it?
I was talking to an elderly chap I see sometimes this morning. He kindly told me when he re-roofed our house, why half of it is rendered at the back and where the two wells are - which was very useful. He also told me about how he had recently lost his wife after 55 years. He obviously adored her and misses her, and he was saying that people just don't work hard enough at being married or appreciate just what they have. I had to come in and have a cup of tea and a weep because he is so right, and so obviously lonely without her.
taurus - it is the front of the house in my avatar, so thanks. Lovely from the outside, but slowly recovering from a 1970s renovation programme inside.
I have 45 minutes left till I have to collect DS2 from nursery and DS1 from school. Clear dog mess from the garden or hoover upstairs? I also need to start putting things together ready for when we go away on Saturday.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
Wow Johanne, i can certainly see why you have mixed emotions. Thats a weird situation, who would have shot him:eek:The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

:hello:
Hello
What a busy few weeks i have been having this is the first time i have sat down in the afternoon since the beginning of May! I have been a good girl lol, doing my flying but i have also been helping my father dig out the footings for his new extension. That done i can have a rest for for a few days and then this weekend we start the build yay! I am sure i am really the man of this house:rolleyes: today i have just put up a venetian blind and its not wonky :T .
Chamichelle noticed you have had your little, hope all is going well for you all xx
Mudbath how is your hand now? hope its better now you have had the op.
Not read through it all yet but will hopefully cath up on the thread tonight
So today most of my dailies are done with a few extras of cleaning windows and but still have to vac up downstairs and mop kitchen floor.
Our sofa is now being replaced by argos as it as come apart on the seam and is apparently unrepairable, they are unable to offer a like for like match so i am completely re-jigging the room and i am going back to having a corner suite, but if i am going to get a new suite i will have to decorate won't I ? lol:rotfl: , i am just in the process now of picking colour at the minute we have magnolia and cookie dough, but i think for the focal point i am goning to have an even darker colour as this wall is nopw going to be my kiddies picture wall. Also just spoke to a friend of ours who is a photographer to take me some venture type piccies:T for a cost of processing, yay.
I bought a new/oldish car lol last week, its a 7 seater and very nice to drive. For the first time in years i have been able to pay cash, gosh i cannot express how nice it was to be able to do that. Now savign for the bathroom hopefully that willl be getting done in September when the kiddies go back to school!
Well take care you lot xx :wave:You can touch the dust but please don't write in it !
Would you like to speak to the man in charge, or the woman who knows whats happening?0
