Yes, I've always lived in Shrewsbury 27 years now.
So lived in Northern Ireland for most of your life then?
    What is Belfast like?

Belfast isn't bad. It has improved tremendously in the last 5-10 years after "The Troubles" ended. There are loads of cool restaurants and bars to go out to and many new shops and shopping centres have opened recently the newest being Victoria Square A lot of people from Europe and England have come to live here too.

Yes, I bet living in Northern Ireland through the "Troubled Times" were difficult. Did it have any affect on Yourself or Family, if you don't mind me asking?

My father was a soldier so whenever anyone asked "what does your father do?" I was always told to reply, "civil servant." Back in the 70s though at the height of the troubles my parents got engaged. My mother's maiden name is O'Brien which some people might think is a Catholic name. As a result some people from the area my dad came from took affront to this and believe he, a Protestant, was marrying a Catholic. So they shot him in the stomach as a warning.

And I remember my mother telling me of Bloody Friday when the IRA let off over 20 bombs in 75 minutes. She was working in the city centre at the times but they closed and she walked home as all the buses had stopped running. She told me that every 5 minutes or so she would hear another explosion as she headed home. She was terrified.

That has happened to me too with my Ulster Ban card a few months back. Was doing a shuffle of my debt but I spent up too close to my limit and the interest pushed me over. £12 fee. I just accepted it and moved on as I knew I was in the wrong.
