Hello PositivelyCynical and welcome to the thread, I would try Vanquis, Capital One and Monument, these cards are pretty understanding on past history etc.Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0

Il give Vanquis a go and let you guys know how I get on.
This may be a silly question......If I get a vanquis card and dont use it, does it report back to CRA's that im managing the account well or does it just show as a dormant account??
sorry if thats a daft question0 -
Yes it reports if you don't use it.0

I applied for the Aqua card.....filled in the most basic application online ever (it only had like 4 questions
) and got an instant rejection
Im gutted....I was quietly confident Id get one:(
I then tried the Vanquis, bit more indepth application but got an ominious 'we will contact you in 10-14 days' response......Im not holdin out any hope
Ive got the feeling ive just taken a few steps backward in my quest for a half decent credit score:mad:0 -
Morning All,
Sutton - I can't wait for the X Factor finalI reckon JLS will win.
I swear you must be the male equivalent of me - reality tv junkie lol. Did you watch that programme the over night where they showed the guy and his assisted suicide? I started watching it and then couldn't watch the end - it was too sad
I have to take my doggie out for a nice long leg stretch - but it's been pouring it down for the last few hoursBest get my wellies out!

Hi and Welcome
Have you checked both your experian and equifax reports? Does one contain better info than the other? My equifax shows 2 defaults, but my experian shows 0 defaults. So if you know which report is better then it would prob be useful to apply to lenders who you know only search the one CRA. If that makes sense0 -

Hi PositivelyCynical
If you haven't already, you can get free online trials from both Experian and Equifax.
