I don't think Lloyds TSB like me much since I beat them in court after they tried to sue me so not sure it's worth me trying with them

Sometimes but often its a "we'll let you know" response

EDIT and as the post has just been I can say that in my case the let you know response was pretty quickly followed by a "you have got to be kidding" response!
  • I seriously want to bodily harm to monument at the minute. I got the card yesterday (as I posted) and was told that If I needed it, I could go to my bank and they would honour it and give me a cash advance. I had an unexpected situation this morning and went to the bank to do as they said and the card was declined.

I rang up monument and apparently all new customers can't use their cards as there is something wrong with the interface between their system and everyone elses. Their system says I have £200 available but everyone else reads the card as though I maxed it out! grrrrrrrr the only consolation is that monument customer services are extremely polite and apologetic about the whole thing even though they're inundated with calls about the same thing.

I just post to warn anyone else expecting their card so they dont try to use it and be embarrassed.

Well I have just applied for a flex account with the nationwide, and have finally been accepted.

Four months ago they wouldn't even upgrade the accounts I already have (both with the cash cards) yet I have held these accounts for over 3 years.

It will be nice to finally have the proper debit card! :D
