well as far as credit card apps, i stand by my theory that its all pot luck!! 1 in so many apps will go through.
i got declined by my world and jjb, yet accepted by flybe, same lender, same credit file to look at. its all a lottery like scratch cards!!

That is strange considering you got a decent limit with 'Flybe'. Mind you I have a 'JJB' - small limit and as far as I can see other people only get small limits.

As a matter of interest - how long was it from applying , until you got the rejection letter?
  • morning

have made the following payments :D

    capone £150
    MBNA £150
    Flybe £200
  • Hi there!

I'm not a regular here however I have some news to report. I've got an MBNA Platinum Plus Card and one of my friends who is going away on a holiday this Christmas asked me which card he should apply. So I told him to try the MBNA Platinum and guess what, he's been instantly accepted with a £3500 limit. He's a student like me who works part-time. So we couldn't have been any better than any sub primers.

I guess MBNA is relaxing its criteria or something? You guys may want to give this card a try as it has low interest rate and 14 month 0% balance transfer.

    Have a good day.

  • Hey guys, havent had the chance to come here lately but had to come in and let you know about mbna. used my mbna card in tesco this morning - no probs. just went to use it online and it was declined  bearing in mind out of £500 limit i have about 400 available i phoned up to find out what was going on. i was put through to their 'risk' assessment dept who told me the card has been blocked and will be closed when paid.. thisis due to finding adverse info on equifax. that info was there when i applied so why cancel now? im fuming! she also gave the impression i wouldnt get my £100 back until i insisted and she checked with cs who said when the balance is nil i can have it. im fuming!!!!
