Well for first time since I started DWD I have a real debit card :T
I applied for Current Account with Ulster Bank 10 days ago, although they said I was getting a debit card did not believe them til it arrived today lol So just waiitng on my cheque book to arrive.
I feel normal again :rotfl:
so although I was going to close my Cashcard account with Halifax I have decided now for minute to run both accounts, one for bills and DD and one for our money. If new account works ok will then asked them to open a second current account to pay bills from, I am getting greedy now lol
I did apply to Ulster Bank online and they gave me a Step account with a Solo card. I'll just keep that in stand by in case anything goes wrong with the Halifax.
Cifpower did you get your card or log in details for ebanking..............they are so slowTOTAL 44 weeks lose. 6st 9.5lb :T0 -

Hi Guys n Gals,
I haven't posted for a while but i was after some help. I have a Default on my credit file which only appeared on my file around June this year. What i need to know is as this Default states that it is from 07/07/2006 and i wasn't living at the property it is linked to, is there any way i can get this removed? Any letter templates or strategies would be greatly appreciated. It's from British Gas and I have paid the amount so that it is marked satisfied.

Hi I have a mbna platinum card with the 0% option till feb on balance transfers and cash transfer into a bank but
the option to transfer money from mbna to my bank account seems to have disappeared has anybody else noticed this ?
I still got a payment slip to do cash tranfers with my cc statment so i think they would allow me but i'd prefer to do it online or over the phone. I have to wait until midweek but its got me a little worried.0 -

I got accepted by flybe and card came through today! REALLY wasn't expecting it. I got rejected by monument and accepted by barclaycard initial, vanquis, halifax and aqua.
Didn't think I would be accepted by flybe!
I got a rate of 24.9% APR. I think this is lower than the others?
Also, what I don't understand is they gave me a limit of £2k! Unbelievable, my highest limit on the others was £260.
Seeking a little bit of advise, would it be best to transfer the balances of the other cards to this one, and just stick with this one, seeing as the apr is lower?
Just wondered really.
Your thoughts?
I'm so happy, i'm almost in tears...over a credit card! How stupid am I!
Love you all even though I havent been here long, u already rock lol
Evan, that's fantastic news, well done :j
Persoanlly, I would transfer all outstanding balances onto the Flybe, put the Flybe away and don't spend on it, and then keep the other cards making small purchases every month paying off in full so that they keep reporting to the CRAs. If you're still rebuilding your file, then this will help immensely.0 -

Yay, congrats you :T . It's amazing how something other people take for granted means so much. When I got my A&L account I got a cheque guarantee card, not had one of those in a long time lol.
Does the Ulster Bank report to the CRAs that you run a good account?0 -

Hi Tom, it is possible of you can prove it. Best person to speak to is Darcy, as he had 2 defaults by British Gas and got them removed successful. Good luck0 -

Hi Linton,
i did a BT from my MBNA card to my bank account. I did it over the phone. There was a phone number specifically for BTs on the back of the card. I'm sure it's still possible as MBNA are one of only a few lenders who allow the Super Transfer. Give them a call to double check though.0
