Hi Linton,

If you haven't performed loads of searches then one more should be ok. My amex was definitely the last for a while. My limit is £3100. It's an odd amount but exactly the same as my MBNA. Plus you get 5% cashback for the first three months spending and then it reverts to 1%. I need to start spending on it - obv pay it off in full each month lol.

RE Halifax, when you pay cash direct to the branch it counts as a payment but the funds don't clear for about 3 days - really naff I know. But the main thing is is that it will show that you paid the bill today.
