Have got 3 defaults but 2 are settled just waiting for file to be updated just want to get my file nice and clean, not going to apply for anymore credit for a while in the last month been accepted for Vanquis £250 limit MBNA £500 limit and Aqua although dont know my limit with them yet, just want to rebuild my credit file.

Just a quick update on my situation guys...

Last year I had 4 defaults and a CCJ, got them all removed but could never get accepted for anything including Cap One/Vanquis/Aqua .. not even an upgrade to a proper Natwest current account.

Finally got everything removed from my credit file at the beginning of this year and was accepted for a Vanquis with £250 limit in April, was accepted for a Cap One with £200 limit in July, MBNA £500 (£100 deposit) there in August and also a decent Lloyds TSB current account too.

Then, on the 5th of September I applied for the FlyBe card everyone was talking about.. got the usual email "we will contact you within 10 days" and heard nothing.
I just called them and they said we can see your application however it seems "stuck?" let me pop you on hold and I'll get my manager to look at it. 2 mins later the guy came on and said I had been accepted with £1000 credit limit and 17.9% APR, was some issue with my flat number on the initial application and to save me another credit search LOL apparently his manager "hit the override button" :eek:

Credit agreement's on it's way!

I'll be transferring my Cap One & Vanquis straight on to that because it's 0% on BT's for 6 months too!!!

FANTASTIC!

(this is with 40 previous searches in the last 6 months too!!!!)


Finally, finally I don't feel like a complete leper anymore, although Aqua STILL wont touch me?? Not that i'd have an Aqua card now anyway to be honest!
