A rule of thumb for every £1000 per year after tax etc you should see around £18 per week extra so £18 * 4 = £72 per month. ;)

So, to work out how much someone would really be taking home on 20K, you would have to away £72 from every £1000 - is that right?

if you added someone else, youd still be paying the bill that they spend, tbh i would just try getting a card for yourself rather than thinking of taking someone else onto your account as well
yes i know but i mean it wont show him/her on my file.

Yes sort of, so if your gross annual is £20,000 you will take home around £14500 ish afte tax and NI.
