    Darcy,
Although I was declined for silver card women on mbna did say that i would get the credit building card, when she said i could not get silver card because of defaults when i said that they are satisfied and that waiting for credit reference files to update that is when she offered me the other card, so maybe it depends on who you speak to.
Glad i held on. Wanted to apply for mbna and vanquis today, decided to cover all areas so gave experian a call, found out ccj is still showing unsatisfied on my report. i cannot believe it, lady says i have to contact the courts which i will do first thing. Well good thing i did cos that would have been a firm NO and i would have a wasted search on my report. If you are not sure try and get an update on your report save the hassle

Evening all, I wonder if I should give MBNA a ring tomorrow, ask if I can have a £100 Visa?
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

Well just to give everyone a update (Just got in from work) I called this morning and a really nice and helpful lady came on . She explained that I could not have what I applied for - but the card with the £500 limit and 19.9% apr . Excellent - she explained that 6 - 9 months and could get increase etc(and deals , upgrades etc). I reckon a good way of getting on the MBNA ladder . Obviously she was looking at my credit file at the same time (must have been the underwriting dept). She also stated my report was good with no issues or problems . I then asked why I was being declined for good a good card and limit . Well she said I have the potential of - Next £4k , and Littlewoods/Additions £5.5k , and these are damaging my file in that its using available credit against income . Especially at the moment (Credit crunch etc).

Also later on when I was thinking - I'm sure she mentioned a £25 annual fee . Anyone else recall this?
