Exactly, use it as a guide rather than anything specific.

Cheers Proliant, I'll have a look into them. Would you say that the Catalogues have really helped boost your score or has it been just a little bit?

They have helped, but the true test will be May 2009 when I go for the big boys cards like MBNA.
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

I read somewhere that Capital One issue a Classic Card with a security deposit, i.e you pay £100 deposit and they give you a £200 limit and it is guaranteed acceptance?

That product is now discontinued by Cap1. They still do it in the US I think.

You could start an appeal portfolio i.e copies of your credit file and highlight stuff to them, a letter to explain what it is you are trying to achieve, tell them everything and even offer a deposit, you never know they might see sense and help you out mate, there are a hell of alot of people out there who don't have any intention of repaying the debt's and those are the people who they should knock back and not the genuine people who are trying to sort it out.
