Addendum:
British money should stay in British banks, the same rule should apply for every other country around the globe ergo import/export trade, each country should be allowed to produce goods unique to it's own culture and keep it that way, it then gives everybody a fair chance and with regard to speaking to an "Asian" or "French" call centre, it is WRONG! The communication barrier due to the lack of each end point being able to communicate in the same language is the main cause of frustration between parties and although these guy's are just earning a living like everybody else they cannot not do it without a rule book or a script and to be fobbed off over the phone by a guy who call's him self "Rodney" and is from somewhere in "Asia" is a complete joke, their is no social understanding from their side and if they can't understand your frustration or upset they freeze and continue from a script.
I am not sure that I understand the above. I can't tell if it is globalisation that you are against or the '!!!!!!! foreigners' you referred to in your earlier post. What you seem unaware of is that British industries THRIVES on foreign investment so I am slightly perturbed as to how you think that keeping industry a localised affair would be to the benefit of the British ecomony.
Regarding sticking to a 'script' - a family member works for a British Company in the very British 'garden of England' and he also has to adhere as closely as possible to a supplied script.
I don't think you are racist per se, however I do think that your comments could be viewed as ignorant and as such you can surely see why some would have taken offence to them.DEBT FREE AND LOVING LIFE0 -
anyway, why not start a new thread, as this ones gotten long enough now and alot of the important info that someone could be looking for might well be lost in our many many posts .......0

UNDERGROUND
Underground, I never realised this and slightly worried now. I have always cleared my balance in full each month but after asking on the thread a few days ago I decided to leave £10 unpaid. But according to your post this means I shall be charged interest on the whole £250 which ignores the £240 paid off
Will it be possible to phone Vanquis and pay the remaining £10 by phone because the due date is on the 6th of August. 48% interest charge on the whole amount will make me very very very :mad:DEBT FREE AND LOVING LIFE0 -

This thread won't be the same without Proliant

I agree with Pauluk - this site can be full of people 'not here for the right reasons' and winding people up . Yes we are all entitled to our opinions , and yes we all express things differently , but ulitimately we are all the same and make mistakes and 'want to do the right thing'. Hence we are on here !!!
Anyway if in future we have a disagrement with non-regular posters , ignore it!!
Hopefully Mr P and co will be back - because we all value the help from others.

I know with cap1 you get 50 something days to clear the balance so if thats the case with Vanquis you should be able to clear it and still not get charged interest.0 -

I agree largely with what you say. I often follow this thread. Saying that I will only post irregularly if I feel I must. But some things just have to be said. I had no wishes to see this thread degenerate into what it's become, but to have said nothing in this case would have been wrong. Had I done so, i'd have just been as guilty as the perpetrators.0 -

At last! Some intelligence. I couldn't have explained that better if i'd tried. Maybe, when it comes to such issues, I do tend to act a mite agressively. There are reasons for this I may assure you.0 -
