Hi all, just thought I would share that Vanquis have doubled my credit limit on my 4th statement not sure if this is the norm though but really pleased about it0
-
They normally do this after four - six months . I found when I had a Vanquis there was no pattern with there limit increases - although I found just before I closed the account a couple of months ago they increased to £2000 and then hiked the interest up to 44%.
Have'nt said that they are a helpful card company both in service and building a row of 'greens'.0 -

I think with Capital One you can apply for a card within a few weeks of closing your previous account.
Probably best to wait a little so that your Credit File shows the previous account as closed, but I don't think you need to wait 6 months.0 -

I wondered the same thing and it seems they do not as I had applied in May and was declined but applied there again 3 weeks ago after having a CCJ removed and was approved.
The thing I would say is that unless something VERY bad (like my CCJ) has been removed or changed on your file then I wouldn't bother, that's 2 months now with no searches Darcy, don't be tempted to start over again unless you have a real chance of being approved which, given you have appealed and been rejected, I don't think you have just yet.0 -

Does anyone know if the reason my credit limit has not been increased by Vanquis is that I pay off the balance in full each month? I have had my card for 6months now.DEBT FREE AND LOVING LIFE0
