Evening peep's, what's the word on the street?

Just to let you know, after just 2 months Aqua have written to OH and have upped his credit limit by £500, so it is now £1500.
He only got the account in April so it is a quickish increase!

    Bo

    God, Aqua are such liars!!

I called them just yesterday to increase my limit and was given a flat 'No'. I have a £600 limit, but will need to put down a deposit as security on a hire car when my family has a holiday to Orlando.

I was told that in no circumstances does Aqua EVER increase your limit within the first 6-8 months of opening an account.

What annoys me most is that I've never missed a payment in the past 7 months, I pay my balance off in full every statement and I've consistently been a good customer.

I was told to call back in July when my 8 months of ownership will be up. I was also told that, if my limit was to increase before then by their computers, I wouldn't be notified - I would just be able to see it on the next statement.

Even MORE irritating (sorry, having a good rant!) is the fact that they haven't dealt with a problem I had concerning an online transaction to Next Directory, whereby I cancelled an order for £127 because the goods I'd asked for were out of stock for the foreseeable future. Good old Next debited my card anyway, so I complained to Aqua after getting nowhere with Next. This was in JANUARY. Five months later I still haven't had my refund. To add insult to injury, I've had to pay interest on the £127.

Now I'm going to have to get a pre-paid travellers visa card from my bank before I go on holiday.

    Needless to say I'm miffed!

Has anyone apart from Bosie's OH had a limit increase before the 6-8 months has expired? Would be useful to know........I might call them up to complain if they've been telling porkies.

Nice one for your husband though! Just don't spend it in bl**dy NEXT!!!!!!!:rotfl:

PS: For anyone that already has an Aqua card: You can request a payment card which you use at any Paypoint terminal. I'm mentioning this because lots of people are still paid weekly (including me) and it's handy to use instead of waiting for your statement. For instance - my last month's statement was showing a balance of £160 so I split it up into 4 - 1st payment for £40 covered the minimum repayment (which was £8) and then I paid £40 for another 3 weeks to clear the rest.

Morning, sorry to hear about Aqua messing you about, you should be able to claim under section 75 of the consumer credit act for goods not recieved, look into this and let us know what happens, good luck.

P.S Oh and welcome to the thread. :T

Morning everyone, my capital one card turned up yesterday with a £500 limit, that was really quick, I only applied a week ago. I've had my credit agreement from aqua the other day, but nothing at all from vanquis who didn't give me a yes or no online. So still waiting to hear from them.

After weeks of waiting (Applied online 6th June), getting a phone call from Vanquis a week later saying I had been accepted, then nothing for weeks I was told when I phoned them today that a credit agreement was posted to me 2 days ago that I need to sign and return and then my card will be issued, but I have defiantly been accepted !.

I thought by applying online I did not need to sign anything ?.
