Just bagged one :j (will get the refund tomorrow or after)

sparkerzzzz - what can I say......... THANKS!!!

Word of warning for the Coventry Ricoh Arena Tesco (has plenty of stock).......... my brother had one at the till but some thoughtful person behind him made him & the checkout op aware of the misprice.

ps - IIRC Mine was form a shelf with a SEL of £397. Hope everyone who wants one has had a chance to get one.....as per suggestions I have not yet had my refund to give others a fair crack.

Has yours got price on box and SEL ? If only SEL I do hope that you have taken something as evidence. Although it was nice to think of us all if it was only the SEL, they're dead easy to remove, and thus avoid R&R.

As for the person behind your brother, what an absolute w***er !! I'd have been well cheesed off !! Obviously totally unaware of the R&R policy
Drat and Double Drat, curse that Mr T excuse for not giving me a refund.

EVERY LITTLE EXCUSE HELPS in trying to get out of the R&R policy when the law has been broken, especially on high value items. :D

I dont know if I was looking at the right ones, they had some priced up at 488 in purple boxes..was it them ??

they also had the 349 ones in blue boxes in stockport. it was the blue ones i checked
  • Congrats on the PCs, guys. Almost as good as the laptop that PC World has never charged me for. ;)

(I should explain that PC World did not put the laptop through the till. They manually swipped my credit card on the old hand held machine, then messed up the paperwork by not dating the transaction, etc. The result of which was that they never took payment from my credit card.)
In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

I have worked out what is going wrong!
There are 2 different Phillips Family PC packs.
The one with the lovely LCD flat panel screen is £449.99
The one with the CRT screen is £349.93 on the box (printed - not a sticker) but £448 on the SEL and scanner. That is all the evidence you'll need!
Position the top of the box in a shallow trolley so that it leans towards the checkout assistant. This will also allow you to run it by the instore scanner to check it first! Make sure you check just in case it is correct in your store.
When going thro' the till, the top, which has a bar code on (as well as the sides) leans towards the cashier and she can stand up and scan it.
That way the £349 price is pointing towards you and down into the checkout station. You'll see what I mean when you get it in the trolley.
Good luck to all and please wait until tomorrow if possible for your refunds!

It is the blue box that has the orange exclusive to tesco label £349.93 , you can't miss it! Apart from Mr T :p
