Broke the golden rule tonight - went for an empty till with my goodies. Till operative must have just started her shift and was too observant for my liking! Spotted straight away the overcharge on Antonio Carluccio’s Italia Cook book (sticker £12.97 scan £14.97) and a Moods CD (sticker £3.97 scan £4.97). She was very apologetic and immediately summoned the supervisor to override the scan and put the items through at the lower price. It took a lot of effort and through gritted teeth I thanked her for being so alert! It looks like I will now be chilling out with my ‘paid’ for moods CD whilst eating pasta!

:rotfl: Thanks for the laugh Bumblebee!! :rotfl:

    I've been Money Tipped!
Can't believe it. I've just got myself a free PC!

It's the Phillips Iqon celeron. Priced on shelf as £448, the box says £349.93,
so I took one to a scanner and it scanned at the higher price!

Had to argue a bit with the manager, but eventually he relented and gave me a full refund!

The is in the Tesco express, Longton, Stoke on Trent.

They took them all straight off the shelves though.
    Thats my Xmas sorted!! :D

Wanted to say  :T  :T . Impressive!

Did you discover the R +R as you were buying the PC anyway or did you spot it was a potential R + R and chance it at the till?

Good to meet old friends -
Emmental finest still mispriced, for third time in 3 days/same store. Mixture of £8.65 and £8.99 stock on shelves.
Ditto Butler's Finests - mixture of correct £9.95, incorrect £9.99 and yellow overstickers, corrected to £9.95.
    All over Cambridge/Suffolk.
Ditto Value peppers still, on successive days - 87p charged, comparison poster(vs Asda etc.)boasts 78p.
Four Roast in Bag Butter-basted chickens, too. £3.99(SEL £2.99-thought these were long gone)
We all know these are repeated repeats! - but many CS staff at various stores now say 'I told them yesterday/last week/last month - if I were you I'd come back every day'.
Charity/neighbour/friend all benefit, along with self;freezer came Monday. Filling up nicely.
    Post scriptum:
Has anyone else had newly displayed '6 food, 1 non-food' sign pointed out to them?
It begins 'We reserve the right to enforce our bulk buying policy' and incorporates the above-mentioned limits. Occurred this week - personable manager told me
all about a website which lists Tesco's misprices, as did yesterday's CS, quote 'Haven't seen it yet, but I'm going to look. I think it's terrific - Mr T can afford it. He's got bags of money.'
Manager said sign was up to 'stop some customers clearing the shelves'. I witheld the obvious rejoinder. Inference? Tesco are happy, ipso facto, to refund up to 6food/1 nonfood per item-type/per customer, against the greater rake-off from those unwittingly overcharged.
However, a curious sentence follows on said notice, gist: this policy is in place to ensure fairness to all customers.
It seems Mr T nobly aims for a more widespread?/frequent? refund customer base.
    Shall we disappoint him?
    Mais non.........
Excellent reductions this week, too - guinea fowl>44-56p,raspberries/strawberries/kiwi fruit/oranges/pink grapefruit - all 10p, ditto specialty croissants/rolls, lge luxury triple choc cheesecake(entire, not portions)40p, lge finest lattice Bramley apple pie 27p.

And are you using it now to type?! Is it any good and the spec you were after anyway? My OH refused to even look at the PCs in Tesco last year as he thought he could get a better deal elsewhere, maybe if it'd been free he'd have reconsidered his view!

First, congratulations to sparkerzzzz! What a wonderful start.

Haven't seen it myself ampersand. I believe the bulk buy limit is imposed at store level, so it's that mangers way of avoiding a shelf clearing R + R nightmare.

So they do know about cpjackso's site! Excellent!

On another point, had an interesting one today. Satsuma bags are currently 2 for £2 (£1.27 each). But there were some bags with half price handles on them. If I'd bought one of these bags, and was charged £1.27 would this qualify under R + R as it could be argued the previous price was £2.54 per bag. No signs either way as to a previous price.

I have just rang head office & they sid its up to each individual store as to what there policy is & I was told that I could write in a letter of complaint.
    Hello marymilkmaid-
Just getting up a head of steam as i read your account of yet another piece of bullying, but THIS takes the biscuit . Excuse me, Mr T - each store makes up policy as it goes along?
    I don't think so.
Straight back on the 'phone marymillkmaid - and follow this one up.
    ...if you haven't already.
    Let us know please.

I agree with !!!!!! I am sure that static photos on a wall especially if they have attached a customers name to it is against Data protection and also human rights. Just think, you could be on that wall for just being diligent and checking your receipt [been overcharged twice this week without trying]. Unlike !!!!!! I always take a bad photo so mine would be in the Hammer Horror section, wonder if I would look like a coo, nanna a hoodie or just plain daft?
I concur, nannac. - including, in ref. to self, your final sentence.
