Went to local Tescos with OH [ the store I made a formal complaint about the Night Manager] he said he felt like a undercover agent deflecting the enemy [actually looked more like a Dingle] as he strolled up and down the aisles very slowly whilst I shopped, and yes we were spied. Had to giggle as all this subterfuge was to lull them as I had no intention of getting overgharged, had to be very carefull though as I am always overcharged there. I just wanted to use up some coupons that are nearly out of date so I bought as many bogofs & offers I could eg Heinz beans 2 x 4pks for £2. Self scan accepted them and on my way out the CS lady smiled and said Hi. [perhaps my row with a certain manager has got back to them]0

Isn't it sad though that we are treated this way, I have sent a complaint to HO about Tescos Barry and await their comments with interest. I hear though they are going to be building another Tescos in Rhoose so at least I will have somewhere else to try !! Yesterday I bought 14 Kinder Hippos on BOGOF and no-one mentioned the bulk buy policy - yet with the beef and gravy I bet they would have !!
I am the only Voucher Queen in my village LOL

I managed to pick up a Jem CD yesterday. I went to CS who offered to refund the difference. When I pointed to the price promise on the wall behind her, she said she'd have to get a manager down to talk to me. She phoned him up and told him that I'd been overcharged. He didn't bother coming down, but told her to just refund me the purchase price. My issue with this is that CS KNOW about the price promise, yet try to get out of it.In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

Having had no luck finding any misprices in Central London up until now, I purchased the famous Jem CD (poster price £7.97, SEL and checkout price £9.77). Customer services refused to honour the refund full purchase price and keep the item policy, despite me pointing out the Tesco policy on the wall. Reasons given included "the poster was supposed to be taken down, so it's human error" and "it doesn't apply to CDs". I have taken the acting Manager's name and will be contacting Head Office tomorrow... apparently they're not open on Sundays, as I challenged 'Benjamin' to give them a call to confirm their policy. Disgraceful. This was the store opposite Liverpool Street Station, on Bishopsgate...Nice to save.0

They make me laugh....... no - it's a real error. As opposed to what? A deliberate one? :rolleyes:0 -
I think these 2 distinct threads are working quite well. Hey Redfox, at last! Only took 6 threads!
However, the actual misprice thread seems to be getting clogged up again...not with new misprices, but people posting whether already posted misprices (such as the Jem CD...which I'm gutted I seem to have missed now as forgot during my Tesco visit this week!) have successfully been bagged at their store.
Would I be the only person to think that those sorts of posts should be on this thread, not the misprice one?Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

It's interesting to watch how different CS reps deal with the same problem. Kingsway, Dundee, 4 misprices - CS was very nice, quickly checked all the prices in less than 5 mins (it's a big store!), apologies for the errors and then gave me a full refund.
Riverside, Dundee, 1 misprice - CS took about 10-15 mins, tried to worm out of the refund (Jem CD - "We will refund you the difference because its on the poster but it doesnt apply to this product" - huh?). I calmly argued the case that it was the same product and that they were definitely advertising it at a lower price. She still tried to wriggle out then she spoke to a senior CS rep. Came back with a face like a bulldog chewing a wasp. Not a very nice attitude for a CS rep...
I think Tesco need to improve CS training at some of the branches...
Cheers,
Mike0
