I have just been banned from all Tescos!!!
I had 4 mispriced joints. The duty manager came over and said are you the one who bought the cheese the other day? When I said yes, he said my presence was no longer welcome in any Tesco store, and I would be treated as a trespasser if I was to enter one.
Did you ever appeal this ban, if so how did it go and what did you do please?0 -
One thing I've noticed this week that I dont think anybody else has made a point of, along this line,
If you look at the CD section, the entire top 40 albums (in my three local stores) now have the yellow 'offer' SELs that 'expire' every sunday. Have they finally found a way to stop us claiming back on overcharged CD's because they haven't updated the SELs when the price drops on monday?DONE: Great North Run 09! well I guess the other technique they deploy is to simply delete the special offer price with a black marker pen or white sticker on top - this disgusts me as I don't see why one store's customers should have to pay more than what HO has offered nationwide because their own staff cannot be bothered enough to keep up with the latest offers.
Banning customer's is also unfair a practice particularly when there isn't another Tesco nearby which some stores seem to think somewhat stupidly that this will resolve the root cause ie. their mispricing.0 -
For those of you that have been banned : how about contacting Watchdog? It seems to me that if you have been banned for drawing misprices to their attention, it would make a cracking story. But if you have been having loads of the same thing, at one go, I would imagine it would weaken your case. So, your decision. I have so far had 4 r&rs on about 7 different items, never more than 2 of each and usually 1.
Even so, I worry about getting banned. This cant be right!0 -
myrtle wrote:In the Batley Extra there are 2 'display only' Acer laptops priced at £568, was very tempted to try it but couldn't find a scanner and wasn't sure if the 'display only' meant they were wise to the price difference, anyone reckon I should try it?
They will scan at £568...they've caught up with this one!
They are 'display only' as they only put empty boxes on the shelf.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
Megalomaniac wrote:I thin k a laptop is mispriced - its the one at £698, but theres a small label in my store, saying £598. The price checker wasn't working, but asked someone, and they took the box away, and came back saying £598. Got a funny feeling though it scans at £698, but theres a label saying £598 - I'd hurry..... go check, must say I am tempted but the boxes are empty, so would mean a direct sale from someone, that does not know the latest price!
Not the same laptop as the SEL I'm afraid. Although the £598 ones are actually now £568 so you might want to try and find those in the store if they've been mis-priced!British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -

*Shakes head* - NOOOOOOOOOO! Your wrong. The laptop I was talking about is NOT the one which was originally priced at £598 and went down to £568.
I am talking about the other laptop they have on sale...... £698 originally, and has now dropped to £598. This is different to the laptop mentioned earlier.
Anyway, this laptop does not come up as a mis-price unfortunately. It had two prices up, £698 + £598, but scans at £598.0 -
Everyone,
Don't worry about getting banned.
Have a word with the actual store manager next time he is in and not one of the "duty" managers who may be flexing his muscles.
If the store manager doesn't put things right have a word with CS at HO.
I'm quite looking forward to the day when they may spring this on me!
There is rarely a visit to Mr T's that a misprice doesn't just happen to find it's way into my trolley.
Got £16 refunded for Lamb Loin chops today.
I never worry about being recognised, using my Tesco CC or encountering managers. It is their error (as I keep saying) and if they don't make them I won't find them!Keep SmilingSite member number 24
