instead of a whole load of advice on where to look, why don't you just tell us WHAT SEL stands for?

Because it gets a bit boring answering the same question over and over again;)
Plus as others have said this is not the thread for it:)

Maybe Redfox could put what it means on the first thread of the other thread?

Ok, new to this, but seem to catch what's going on - well done to whoever came up with the idea.

One question still remains: one you've located a suspected misprie, where is the SCANNER everyone's on about?

    I could but.....

people don't seem to read the first post in the thread now so I don't think it would make much difference.

there may or may not be one in the store you visit. Check this thread for known scanner locations in some stores.

  • ahhh, what a evening!

Brought a DAB Recorder for £99.99 and looked at the mobile phones, picked up a Moto V2 for £139.99 IIRC - proceed to the till and the lad forgot to take off the £20 (yippee - not!) Paid for both phone and record without any reduction, so the contract was made at the POS - Went to the CS desk to get the mobile, while she went off to collect the phone I had a reread at the policy. She came back and pointed out that I am missing the reduction hence a over price. She called a Manager who refused to believe its a misprice - I said that it is as you (Tesco store) didn't take off the reduction for the offer. They then went to refund the phone and re-sold it to me a lower price?!:! of £119.99. Not working to the policy... nice call tomorrow to CS on the free phone number - bear in mind the manager did give me £15 as a goodwill for keeping me there for 30min (dam right). Recorder has to go back as its faulty...

Anyone can give me some strong words for the CS desk tomorrow???

    Thanks

    M
  • Went to my local extra today and changed the X-Men 2 DVD I got on r&r for War of the Worlds (paid 80p extra). I also got two more I'm a Fairy books - charged £3.97, stickered at £2.97. This is the 3rd time I have got these from here... beginning to think they do deliberately overcharge. Picked up the Thomas books too - overcharged again - so £20.88 refund. Never been asked to give my details, and have had quite a few refunds over £10.

Couldn't find any Power Ranger watches, will have to try different store.
Unfortunately, they seem to have all the prices right at this store on all the meats, and a lot of the CDs/DVDs. Might go back for another X-Men 2 as it is still scanning at the higher price. They have the Sugababes 3 CD, but it doesn't have an SEL or a sticker, so won't be able to get it on the r&r!!

The £20 off phones aren't always going through with the discount being deducted at the till. I've now managed to pick up half a dozen free phones this way.

Good post, but it would be useful if we knew which phones wasn't scanning the £20 deduction!
