    Firework,
The best way to learn is simply to spend an hour or so reading the threads!
This thread is only for the posting of misprices that we find. Please ask all questions in the Tesco Misprices Discussion Thread.

    Hi firework,
I suggest you look at this threadhere
where there are loads of people talking about their experiences and answering questions. We try to keep this thread just for misprices or it gets very cluttered and difficult to negotiate.

I went to tescos with all these little gems of info written on my list... and found that they had removed the scanning machine!
I decided to take my organic chickens etc to the self scan check out instead, and if they came up right, would return them to the shelf.... What a palaver!
Teen son was quite excited at the prospect of freebie chickens( yeah, i don't feed him enough..lol) and they came up as per shelf label.. so did everything else.. bah!
I put through a reduced pack of sarnies for teens lunch, and they went through at full price- was about to let it go and go to cs, but a 'helper' spotted it, and decided to rectify the mistake there and then. It didn't work, so she charged me for them afterwards, where teen son told her... shouldn't we get those free now as you over charged us?!
She agreed, but carried on charging me!
So much for my feeble attempt to grab some freebies!!

instead of a whole load of advice on where to look, why don't you just tell us WHAT SEL stands for?

    Hi Sarah,
No not really had any grief to speak of - just one unpleasant cs lady but she was unpleasant before the r&r anyway! Guess weve been lucky, but this has been spread around a few stores...I think it's when you get r&r week after week at the same store that they can get unpleasant.

I think that if you are polite, you know the policy and stand your ground, most people should have no problems. I have only encountered one CS lady who tried to "pull a fast one". I simply gave her two options:
I asked for her name so that I could speak to HO in the morning or she could call her manager to speak to me. She chose option 2. He told CS to refund and stated that I was correct and that was their policy! Don't accept any other answers!
Most of my refunds are also on my Tesco credit card so they know who I am and how much I am getting back! What are they going to do? If they don't make errors I cannot find them. My statement is due any day so I'll tot up an exact figure but I had over £60 back last week mostly on meat!
That reminds me. I better get down there and see what I can find!

SEL = shelf edge label ie.price

then check this price with instore scanner.

a small resume of this thread appears here:

    hope this helps.

If we keep answering the same questions over and over again then the Forum Threads get longer for no reason! Ask questions over on the discussion thread! Most of the questions you are asking have already been answered many times if you can be bothered to take a look!
