Joel...... It's been a few years since I worked in retail......but you just can;t please some people. I'm after a quick bit of advice.....I'm about to write a letter to the Store manager at my local Tesco .....don;t worry - it's a nice one. I've been very impressed with the CS at my local store....done a few R&Rs there & had points added etc. I'm also sooooo thankful that this store has a very amenable coupon acceptance policy (as that has caused me much grief at stores & HO)........anyway.... does it make any difference (to them) if I name some staff.....is there likely to be anything in it for them? If there is I'll wait until my next shop so I can go badge spotting :)

    Hey all,

ive nocked up a forum at a site purely for misprices, my idea being this thread sometimes gets of track,

heres the addy no need to register can if you like

    http://tescosmisprice.proboards76.com

just post up in the title the product, date sel price and actual price, If you wana discuss an item then create a thread in the particular message,

would make it alot easier for everyone to grab a bargain and be so much easier on the eyes,

I know one guy has made a site but doesnt seem to work all the time,

let me know what ya think ?

I can move all the existing threads over from this one tonite plenty spare time,

    Happy tescos moneysavings

ive done a test thread check it out at the abover link

I'll stick to my fellow MSN site :money:
  • Tried 2 return a game bought the day before at 3 different Tescos stores who said it was now their policy not to refund on games, dvds or cds unless faulty. They would exchange for other similar items.

I was told this today too, regarding a CD I wanted to take back. Is this correct? I would have thought that if it was there should be large signs everywhere (well, around the CD/DVD section) to advise you of this, shouldn't there? The reason I was given was "copyright"...

I think this has been asked previously in this thread, but can't find it!! Edit: have now found it, it was only a week ago (but feels much much longer). Think it will depend on who I get in CS...

  • Took CD back to different store today, was asked if it had been played, answered no, and was given refund.

Picked up some rump steak, got r&r no problem, OH says thanks!!

Also picked up Bryn Terfel CD, r&r on that too. As this is part of 3 for £16 offer, did think that the refund would be miscalculated, as I thought this was manually inputted, so tried it in another store, but obviously not the case as the refund was calculated correctly, so only charged £16. icon9.gif

  • In Altrincham store, there was a laptop with £598 sticker on box, SEL £568. No idea what it scans as, as went looking for scanner (to find it has been removed), then forgot all about it!! Not sure I would have nerve to take it to checkout then say changed my mind, but if someone wants to try it, Altrincham is the place to go!!

Hmm. Tescos Walkden had the 440ml stella SEL at 9.99, down from £14.59, but as no scanner I didn;t want to chance my arm.
    looks like I should have!

Definitely should have - booze can be returned for a refund under their refund policy, I saw a bloke returning a big bottle of brandy the other day. OOOOps, OT sorry :o

Do you get to keep the items after you get a full refund?
No reliance should be placed on the above.
