Bought PS2 Mercenaries game at my local Tescos and the Sugarbabes C.D. Both scanned incorrectly so my first freebies from Tescos feel like a legal shoplifter! Bit scary if you ask me hopefully with a bit more practice I wont worry so much!

    Well Done :j

I know what you mean. The first time I tried this I was quite worried. But it does get easier the more times you get stuff free. When will tesco's ever learn..... hopefully never. I have heard a rumour that some stores sell cars, motorbikes etc. Wouldn't it be nice if one of these could be mispriced ;)

Someone else in the queue at CS was arguing and getting annoyed (she wasn't after an r&r) - I could see/hear the staff's reaction - proves always best to try and keep calm, and not abusive towards the staff.

Too right. I had a day of abusive customers yesterday (over the fact we were short staffed, and I had to close 4 tills for their lunches - they 'moaned' that 4 tills all said they were closing, and that it was ridiculous. I explained that, by law, they are entitled to take a break, and had to close in this instance to do so. They then proceeded to give me a tonne of verbal, forgetting the fact that I only do the best I can with what I am given, and I can't just walk up to the boss and say "Oy, look here, I've got people moaning at me like its my fault, get some more staff from out of nowhere!"... although I wish I could. Point being they were ripping into me for something I had absolutely no control over)

Anyway, I must have walked away from about 5 of the abusive gits, and enforced my right to not to have to put up with abuse. Tesco staff have all been told recently to not get involved, step away and let someone else (up the ladder) deal with it.

And if one of you happen to be the stuck-up woman who DEMANDED I got someone to pack her bags immediately, then watched me having to turn away customers from another very very very busy checkout so the member of staff could pack HER bags, and then watched the stuck up miserable (<insert expletive here>) stand there and watch the member of staff pack her bags for her without helping... don't EVER think you'll get away with speaking to me like that again, regardless of how much you spend, earn, or have tucked in the bank.

Anyway, rant over. It's been a bad day, can you tell? :wall: :(
Yes, I work for Mr T, but anything I say is not given as an official response or representation from Mr T, and is usually best taken with a pinch of salt, lightly toasted and served with a chardonnay or rose wine. Mmmmmmm.

  • My first trip to Tesco today with the R+R policy in mind. Got £40 of shopping and picked up the samsung E530. Went to checkout and put phone through first then rest of the shopping. All went well, the cashier forgot the discount, however, Just as I was about to pay a weird supervisor woman came through and said she was going to shut the till off. She then looked at the transaction as someone came back with the phone and reminded the cashier to put the £20 discount on and i was like GRRRRRRRRRRRR! I then faked a phone call before paying a said that it was a gift and a blue phone was required not a pink one so i dont want it anymore. She looked at me in a weird way and reluctantly took it off the total and i then paid for the shopping.

    STOOOOOOOOOOOOPID supervisor person!!! Damn Her!!!
