Look, I'm doing it again
Thats 'till software' to anyone who doesn't work for Tesco lol.
And they just changed a load of things in the user interface (if I hear the word 'softkeys' once more today I'll scream) and cashiers, who seem the most resistant to change creatures of this earth, have been giving me hell with it.
Like apparently cashiers refused to sell tomatoes for a short period this morning because they were missing off the PLU list because they added a new softkey that knocked off the tomatoes off the shortcut softkey list, and they also disappeared from the PLU list, because FMC BackOffice had no labels setup for it, so we had to setup a label for it to make ProgreSS add it back to the PLU list and then get everyone to sign off/sign on to get it to appear in the PLU list so they could stop telling everyone that we couldnt sell loose tomatoes
Talk about drama.... I think its time for another cuppa and a sit down away from technology for a bit...Yes, I work for Mr T, but anything I say is not given as an official response or representation from Mr T, and is usually best taken with a pinch of salt, lightly toasted and served with a chardonnay or rose wine. seems odd then that they installed a shiny new one of these roundish blue ones in the newly extended Tesco near me just 3 weeks ago. It worked initially, now it doesn't. Very wasteful of their financial resources to newly install a discontinued scanner I would have thought
and it only had a shelf life of 3 weeks, I think they should ask for a refund :rotfl:0 -
Good evening to you all
For those who have had trouble finding overprices lately just to encourage you (if that's the right way of looking at it!) that they are still to be found.
Me and my OH found £47 worth of overpriced goods tonight (3 DVD's)...just in a few mins of checking out the aisle.
Incidentally, the scanner/price checker is still working fine in both of our local extra's so I dont think it's a case of them being disabled...just dodgy.
They often say "see a member of staff" but if you keep scanning the product it will usually come up with the price IME.
One of the overcharged DVD's was stickered £24.97 and scanned £24.99 The CS lady said to my OH "Oh come on that's only 2p I'm not giving you that one, is that OK?" to which he replied "No it isnt OK actually - where do you draw the line? I would like a full refund and the DVD thanks!" She went off to speak to her manager and came back 10 mins later obviously having been told she must refund as that's what she did. She was not amused.
So another good nights shop! I also exchanged a couple of Overcharged books for somethings we needed.
I'll post the items on the cpjackson site when I have a min

Hi, I am new to all this (the website and shopping at tesco), and get the concept, but in practice what do you do, just shop for mispriced and take them all for a refund?? Do the CS not get suspect?? also what does r and r stand for??
Sorry for all the questions

Hi and welcome firstly r&r = refund and replace.
Its best to pack out your shopping ie with multibuy, reduced items, bogof etc and add a few mispriced items then go to customer service and obtain your refund, if you visit the shop and see the items still incorrectly faced or prices then hit them for six (six being the average bulk buy maximum) if they can't get it sorted they deserve to pay extra for the second and subsequent notifications of their offences better still report to trading standards after receiving your refunds,Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -
Hi Ben, thanks,
As I said I am new to this, I thought I was doing a good thing by collecting points through the codes on the internet shopping, seems with Christmas coming I could be better off going into the shop. The sign of a wasted life is a tidy house, Welcome to the chaos!0 -

Definately so, with online shopping you miss out on all the specials like free goods and coupons!! Steer clear prowl the stores and get your goodies for nowt,
As for asking too many questions look around, there are as many threads started with a question as a statement on this site, ask your questions and they will invarioubly be answered, don't worry it won't be long before your providing more answers than questions.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -
