You could always try telling them your a reporter from the local rag following up for a story after complaints from thousands and thousands of customers
Or even freelance. LOL.

Hello Everyone!
Im sorry if this has been posted but 10 pages and for some reason my internet is taking the mick today (AOHell) Anyway,
I was hoping someone could shed some light onto how this works? Can you go instore for this? Does it work over net? Do they have scanners so i can check the prices and put the item back if the price isn't right without having to go to CS? If the shelf price says £10 but a sticker on the item says £9 then am i still entitled to whatever it is i am entitled to? A quick explanation would be extremely helpful!
Thank You All! xx0 -

Do any of you watch the Simpsons ?? If you do then when they ask for your name just think of one of the names when Bart calls Mo's Bar trying to find someone (playing a gag on MO), and then asks for the customer with the name Bart has given him, there are loads of name slips with Ben Dover, Ivor Bigun, Michael Hunt, in the pile of slips at Mr T's, etc, it always makes me smirk while I am writing it, they never check, and they are not entitled to ask for this anyway, so its a pointless control (lack of):rotfl:

If there is more than one price displayed for a product the lower price must be charged or refund and replace kicks in. Some stores have scanners but most of them are out of commission though. The policy is if you are overcharged you get a refund and keep the product, check the customer service area in your local store you will see a large blue board with company policies outlined on it and the refund and replace policy is there for all to see.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -
Brief update on my recent difficult experience with one Tesco store in particular.
Following my 20 minute 'barney' with the 'bouncer' !!! store manager, I rang Head Office customer services the next day who also tried to fob me off! The last one I spoke to couldn't change the mind of the local store either and suggested my talking to the 'Store Manager' which was a new one to me and I thought it was worth a try.
Unfortunately, Store Manager was awol so had another 20 minute conversation over the phone with Duty Manager 'B' - from the same 'school' as the first.
Decided to then roll up at the store again just out of curiosity. Found one large shelf label without weight (value Hock) - still there from previous visit - and found 2 more this time, in the same aisle! One of them even had the price without the weight - but it was the 'per lb' price for the item anyway - get that!!!
Anyway, didn't expect much from Customer Services and didn't get it either - except I did end up having a good old 'ding-dong' with Duty Manager, which was a pleasant surprise that I wasn't even expecting and I do now have it on 'record' (if you know what I mean) saying that to have such large misleading labels on display are excused by the existence of the (smaller) shelf edge label as long as it does correctly quote the 'per weight' price.
It really bugs me that they make it like the Krypton Factor for someone to successfully point out unlawful pricing to them, when it's US doing THEM a favour! Well, Trading Standards have now been forwarded a 'dossier' of the unrepentant and repeated nature of these offences, including in-store photos and a pretty much word-for-word transcript of the self-damning conversation with 2nd duty manager!
I shall forward a copy to T's Head Office once Trading Standards have had a chance to read it and get back to me if they wish to.
Quick question for all - any official rules or guidelines on in-store photography (and digital recording in general)? This too, shall pass.0 -

I emailed them the other day about this practice of giving them your name and address when returning an item and received this email from them this morning..................
Thank you for your email.
It is standard practise for the store to ask our customer for their name and address should any item be returned for a refund or exchange.
However, please note that this is not an obligation. Therefore, if you are uncomfortable doing this, please advise the customer assistance that you do not wish to do this.
At no point do we wish any of our customers to feel vulnerable when using or visiting our stores.
Thank you for taking the time and trouble to contact us.0 -
