Anytime the manager arrives with a tattood fatty in tow don't beat about the bush, ask them directly why they feel the need for the presence of a neanderthal during the discussion is it to protect the manager or to intimidate you? tell them you are making note of their behaviour and intend to communicate your experience both to Head office and Trading Standards, you also have ASA to refer your complaint to with regards to not fulfilling nationally published promises.

The tattood fatty is generally only there because he gets to wear a microphone attached to an earpiece like his heros on Phoenix Nights try striking up a conversation with him using words of multiple syllables he will soon find something far more important to do like making sure nobody goes through the little "no entry" barrier to the right of the entrance barriers

    P.M.S.L. Ben ..excellant !!!!!!!!!!

The tesco policy is one that gets the customers to do Tescos job for them.
However having been to my local store and got 3 cds and some chicken all on different days over a 3 or 4 month period I am followed around the store by security and watched by floor walkers with their mics on,I really feel like turning round and saying something, quite amusing at times but tonight took my daughters to get some ice cream,no security on door, but within 1 min they were following us...... what do you do???
I've done nothing wrong just helped Tescos to get their policy right......my total gain from the overcharging totals £30 approx, quite cheap compared to what they could've been fined.

I was wondering if you've still got that old bike?

In terms of contacting head office, you'll probably get a standard reply letter apologising, saying that its not usual service for our stores, and that we trust on future visits that you will receive the high standard of service you would expect from the store etc etc blah blah.

This is certainly not the case, dont be put off calling HO and use 0800 505555.

With the exception on one case (I think people know now) where a closed offer was left on the shelf HO have been fine to me and people I know even so much as taking my work for it and doing the refund by post via vouchers.

    Tattooed fatty....what a compliment!!!

Do you actually call the security managers tattooed fatties to their face or is it a derogatory term that you reserve specifically for the safety of an internet forum?

Ben would only state these things on a internet forum as he would get himself banned for being abusive to staff if he had the balls to say it to thier faces in the first instance. HAving seen Ben "in the flesh" so to speak and listened to his reasoning the words Kettle, black calling springs to mind.

Now what was it I used to do? RMP or HMC or was it HMP I get confused sometimes.

Now this last post seems to indicate you experience a sense of injustice that police officers flout the law, given your current profession wouldn't your attention be better focussed on your employers willingness to flout the law? do you take your camera to work to record and report all the misprices? do you use your supposedly subversive intimidatory tactics on other employees? do you fit the profile of a Tattoed Fatty?

As for actually meeting me! Have faith you would have far more to say on the matter had the event ever taken place than you have thus far, that's providing you were prepared to even discuss it having had to suffer witnessing me walk away with an armfull of your stores goods and a fat wallet!

Whilst I am flattered at the attention, this is surpassed by my amusement that you have clearly demonstrated all the qualities I would expect from you in such a position.

You clearly feel the need to demonstrate your own upstandingness, machismo, and intellect along with your perceived position of power and dominance, the fact that you feel the need to demonstrate it makes me question your possession of it and the ability to put any of these attributes to their fruitfull use, I applaud your choice of profession!

I note with interest your response was both contrite and concise, feel free to comment on any of the other content in my post such as veiled intimidation, hypocracy, insecurity, downright stupidity?

Or do you have to wait for another teabreak perhaps?
