    I always put marmalde on my bread, gives it a lovely flavour. You can use chocolate spread too.

    that sounds lovely! managed to get some free marmalade from the preserves factory down the road yesterday so may just give that a try

    There's this recipe from Sainsbury's for a B&B pud, it uses a carton of fresh custard, but I'm sure you could use a tin.

    that looks great! i guess you could use raisins and things instead of the bananas? and it doesn't mention buttering the bread - i guess that is because the custard is so rich?

    I always get Bread Pudding/Bread and Butter Pudding 'muxed ip' in my head!

    In an effort to sort one from t'other I've just googled and came up with this website that I've never come across before.

    Maybe some of you have found it already, but I just thought it worth a mention.
