Bread and Butter Pudding in our house is never the same twice, we just use what we've got. On sunday I did one using apricot jam sandwiches luxury fruit mix and mixed spice. OH had two dishes so it must have been nice.

At christmas time it's nice to make one with pannetone and cream.

Netto usually sell pannetone cheap at this time of year.

I made a bread pudding loaf the other night... using chocolate spread instead of butter, brown bread instead of white, coconut milk instead of normal milk and with raspberries inbetween the slices and made it in a loaf tin instead of a flat tray.... was delicious!! Yum!!

Do you think it is better with white or brown hard bread?

Has to be white, brown bread doesn't work very well in B&B pudding IMO.

I've just had some at the party tonight and it was made using croissant, pecan nuts, sultanas, cream, eggs and maple syrup. I will get the recipe when my friend is sober/recovered from her hangover tomorrow! :rotfl:
  • Sorry did a search but couldnt find this.

Any recipes please for an easy bread and butter pudding. Bearing in mind I dont have scales only a measuring jug.

    Many thanks in advance.

Just really fancy 'nursery' food - off work unwell
