    they said as i am still on income support i still have to return to work asap! which i thought i wouldnt be pushed but they are :O

    i rang some advice line for dla, carers etc and they said income support are not telling the truth now once again, they said i dont have to go back to work but income support disagree and say if i dont go back to work they will deduct money from my income support, what idiots!!

    There is no system in place to reduce benefit when on income support if the claimant doesn't look for work, just with JSA (which you aren't entitled to as you are a carer) Income support aren't telling the truth, personally I'd just ignore it. They may still try to persuade you to return to work recommending that you take a job working term time and school hours possibly, but they can't force you.

    Have they said you have to return to work or attend a work focused interview?

    There is a HUGE difference between the two - if it's the second all you need to do is attend and say that due to your caring commitments you haven't got the time to work (or would like to work if you could find a job while ds is in school - whichever is the truth) you don't have to look for work but you do have to attend the interview
  • hi all. i hope you can help me out here. i receive income support for being a single mother to my 20 month old son. i also receive severe disability allowance. child benefit child tax credits.D.L.A middle rate care. lower rate mobility. noone claims carers allowence for me. what premiums am i entitled to??????
    my ex partner lives with me in the same house that i rent from my landlord, we have seprate rooms as he has severe epilepsy and he is awaiting a house from the local council. he gets incapacity short term lower and income support, D.L.A high rate care middle rate mobilty. income support have assessed us and agree that we live seprate lives hence him being awarded income support. i know he can get the enhanced disabilty premium what other premiums is he entitled to???? im sure my severe disability premium has been took off me please help me someone thank you so much.:confused::confused:
