I saw a solar power hen house light the other day. Encourages laying in winter.0 -
Oh sorry, I forgot to explain that bit then! Just before I went away for Yule, NiceSoFarLodger mistook the cat for a cushion
He was a bit bruised down both sides and lashed out at a neighbour when she picked him up the wrong way, prompting the neighbour to accuse me of neglecting him! Always nice when someone says that to you...
Shirlgirl, I think I've got all three of them laying again now - I get at least one proper egg per day, but every-so-often get a soft-shell which I think is Sheila picking up again after her moult. Only thing is, the daft birds keep laying whilst roosting! When I tuck them in at night, I have to check their bums are pointed over the poo trays (rather than over a 4' drop) so the eggs'll have a better chance of landing in one piece :rolleyes:Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -
Scrambled eggs all the way!
Hope that the cat's on the mend?0 -
Yes, he heals quickly - no soreness now, although he's a bit nervous of sitting amongst the furry cushions on the futon now :eek:Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0

Aw, he didn't mean it! It's very easily done - low seat, dim lighting, lots of furry cushions in various colours, but one of them happens to be a curled-up black cat... I've come very close to doing it myself; the daft puss just doesn't get out the way! He's always clinging to my feet when I try to walk up and down stairs too...Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -
