  • "Nah I can't be there for that time.. I've already tried coming up 2ngt, you stated you would be there after 4pm. If your leaving at 12 gunna have to be when your back next, again I'll have to confirm nothings damaged as you have packed photos and jewellery. X"

I have a number of objections to that message. Have to confirm that his @rse is still attached to his legs. The effing nerve. Does he realise that you could be away for several weeks? I mean, didn't you mention that you're tying up loose ends at work so you won't be back to Wales on the weekends for aaaaaaages?

Go on, I dare you. Tell him that his earliest opportunity if he doesn't get his bum round tomorrow will be the 28th and 29th of this month.

"Thats a shame - I won't actually be back until September as I am going abroad, I 'm sure your things will be fine until then, though its probably a good job you took the food on your last visit"

    Edit - actually maybe

"I can confirm to you nothing of yours has been damaged. Everything from your room has been packed up in bags and boxes for you except for my drinking glasses (you might recollect them better as ashtrays), my DAB radio, my DVD player and the congealed pile of vomit from the floor, the latter I assume you no longer require"

  • Maybe he does want the latter. If you are replacing the carpet BL perhaps you can cut that part out and add it to the bags.
  • As if he's trying to blame you for this.

I've forgot if you drive to London, and if so, do you have a decent size car? If so, I'd have half a mind to tell him that he can collect his belongs from you in person but seeing as he was supposed to have taken them last Tuesday, you will start to dispose of them THIS Tuesday, or simialr, and if he wants them, he can either get them from Wales by 12 tomorrow, or bloody well come to London for it.

My response to that would be:

I'm sorry that you can't be there, but unfortunately, I wont be back until ____. However, I'm going to take this opportunity to say that I have found your attitude recently to be very offensive, and remind you that I have been more then generous in agreeing to meet up with you several times since the end of your tenancy to help you, and it is not my fault that you have not told me in advance when you plan to visit, despite my asking, and then only told me when you are on your way. Furthermore, I find your accusations that I will have broken your things to be laughable, considering the state of the room you rented.

Now, back to the matter of your belongings- as it seems that my generosity has been flouted and taken advantage of, I will no longer be extending it to you. If they are not collected within a fortnight from the date you were to have moved out by, I will dispose of them myself. I will contact you again when I know when you my collect these, though be warned that if I say 4'o'clock, I do not expect to be kept waiting, twiddling my thumbs, so to speak, for two hours. If you are unable to make a time which is convenient for me, this is not my problem, and you have been given ample opportunity to sort matters out already.

But that's just what I'd want to send- I imagine even I wouldn't have the guts.

  • I'm worried that he is going to turn up and give joannalodger hell during the week .................

Can you not fill up a couple of taxi's and dump it all round at his parents and end this all - the arrogance and stupidity of him means potentially in a few months we could be hearing "she made me do it your honour" ..... as we read about some horrific act of vengence in a tabloid newspaper

Take his stuff to his parents' house. This is not your problem!!

Faith is the denial of observation, so that belief can be preserved.

  • One: I'm not so sure about the time-scales that B_L has to dispose of his crud/precious and valuable things.

Two: I don't recall B_L ever mentioning that she knows where his folks live.

Three: I would not be expending any more energy on being accommodating and reasonable any longer and I would most certainly not be carting his !!!! anywhere using my time or money.

Front garden it is from 9am tomorrow.

Unless B_L and burly guests are fomenting an even more cunning and cruel plan than we can come up with as we speak
  • Isn't leaving it on the lawn as good as disposing of it?

Also, if you want to protect JoannaLodger, put all his stuff in the campervan, and tell him so (or just tell him, don't do it), and that JoannaLodger doesn't have keys to that. Plua, it might give the house some space. Or is the campervan going to London with you? (Even better :D )
