I've always got my lodgers from ukeasyroommate. Spareroom has always drawn a blank, yet the former one i've had people from the US ( a lady researching Jane Austin), a mon-fri chap from Essex, someone else from London etc etc

As far as websites go when I was looking for somewhere to live the only site that I actually got any response from potential landpeople was spareroom, never heard anything from any of the others I looked at.It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
