Well done Badger Lady. I might have to do the same myself soon. I keep asking my lodger to do or not to do specific things and she says yes and then carries on and ignores me completely. It's like dealing with a child. <sigh>

Badger_Lady has been roped into doing some out-of-hours testing and is sat on her VPN in the bedroom. The rest of the housemates are in the garden, celebrating Lodger2's birthday...
Lodger1 has been keeping a secret - last night, he was asked to leave the Big Badger House. So far, none of the other housemates are aware of this. Badger_Lady listens from above...
Lodger1: I've got an announcement to make!
Housemates: What? What's going on? Where's my pizza?
Lodger1: I'm moving out!
Housemates: You what? Why? Where are you going?
Lodger1: I have today put a deposit down on a penthouse flat in [nearby City]. I'm moving in next weekend!
Housemates: Oh my God, that's so quick - when did all this happen?
Lodger1: I was just doing some thinking last night and decided I need to get a place of my own. I'm thinking of getting one up North as well, maybe putting a new work location up there.
Housemates: Oh wow, good for you man.
Lodger1: Cheers, yeah, I'll be gone next weekend.
