He's 'orrible. I think he might be ill: he keeps pooing everywhere. He uses his littertray, and never wees in the wrong place, but my curtains are constantly in and out of the washing machine recently with puddles and piles of cat poo.

I'm hoping the catflap might help somewhat...

Sounds like he needs to see a vet ASAP, cats can dehydrate quite easily as they are so small! Have you changed his food at all?

Yeah, I'm trying to get him an appointment at the moment.

He's always had different brands of food - I haven't changed the type. Being an older male cat, I always give him wet food because I'm so worried about UTIs...

He also has a water bowl on hand that I've seen him drink from (he used to have a fountain but was scared of it), and we also have a morning ritual where he follows me into the bathroom, jumps in the bath and I turn the cold tap on for him .

  • Soiling, rather than weeing, is often associated with stress or territory issues. Poor Tufters may be missing Quackers more than you think
