Thanks lostinrates - just did it there and I think I've done it wrong! I didn't get any 'gritty bits' at all!
My skin does feel soft but I wouldn't say particularly 'glowing'... might give it time to see how it pans out!

I don't get gritty bits either...
Mine did glow though.
See how it goes, it may or may not be right for youDid you massage it in, to a warm face?
Did you steam off with hottish water on a cloth? Did you use a cold face cloth at the end? for me, missing the cold cloth gives less glowing results, and not getting the hot cloth right...not warm enough, or perhaps not ''rough'' enough ...the cloth, not the rubbing.

Damn I wanna glow! lol...
I massaged it in, to a dry face though? Does that make a difference? Did it while I was in the bath so it was all steamy..
The cloth was steaming hot - but I used a washcloth and not a muslin? I steamed it off then used a cold and let my face cool down.
I've just read the website again and it said you're supposed to steam it off a good few times, and I didn't, so maybe try that next time.
I don't have bad skin at all, a lady at Clinique told me once that she couldn't really sell me their products because my skin was near perfect haha! but always interested in a clear, dewy look!

I did massage and aromatherapy courses a couple of years ago, and I absolutely love it. Each one was a year at my local college and it's not cheap - about £400 each. It's not my job though, I do it for family and friends etc and rarely charge. One day I'll be able to give up the day job...........
If you're serious, have a look here:http://www.bsygroup.co.uk/
I've just started one of their courses and it's been very good so far!
Oh, and your hands will soon get used to the massages.
Thanks for that claire! Will have a look and see if I really fancy it or am just musing on doing something that I would enjoy more than what I do:o
Not that mobile (physically) and in truth I doubt that I could do the massages all day (unless there was a way of alternating between sitting and standing to do them) so it is probably just a pipe dream:o
As to my hands: they still ache today, and the joints are a bit swollen just as they are when I type for too long:("there are some persons in this World who, unable to give better proof of being wise, take a strange delight in showing what they think they have sagaciously read in mankind by uncharitable suspicions of them"(Herman Melville)0 -
Well, having given a third treatment last night, DS is looking much better from the forehead down to the nose, but the area around his top lip and his chin are a bit  at the moment! The oil seems to have really brought a few small spots up to large and angry ones at the moment, but that was what happened with the eyebrow area at the last treatment so he says to keep going! Will do again tomorrow night, and quite possibly Saturday as well and then leave till about Wednesday and see how it goes. A lot of the area that was spotty around the eyebrows and brow area has really cleared up a lot, not even red skin where the spots were and that is in just one week and three treatments so hope that improvement continues for him (is there a smiley with crossed fingers?:))
He likes to use the distilled witch hazel after as this leaves the skin feeling better for him, and this might well be worthwhile for anyone getting large eruptions when starting ocm. It's all I have used for years on any odd spots on my own face tbh and it seems to clear them quickly without leaving dry skin."there are some persons in this World who, unable to give better proof of being wise, take a strange delight in showing what they think they have sagaciously read in mankind by uncharitable suspicions of them"(Herman Melville)0 -
After being lazy and not using the OCM my skin has went repulsive. I have at least 3 big red spots on my cheeks and chin at all times, but it's the disgusting white bumps under the skin that gross me out.
the chemist recomended quinoderm. DONT USE IT! I swear it has blocked my skin up worse.
Did the OCM earlier with olive oil as all out of extra virgin, and my skin feels lovely and soft, and the white bumps were a lot easier to squeeze out......0 -
Just out of interest folks, for those using castor oil, I was talking to a lady in Boots and she said that they no longer stock it automatically as it's use is discouraged. Mainly because people could presumably take too much.
Have found some on the internet at chemist direct, but they charge £2.95 delivery. OK if you are ordering other stuff as well as it seems quite cheap.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

I got my castor oil from ebay, I think it actually was chemist direct but their postage is free.
I'm not noticing a whole lot of change to be honest, I'm coming out in spots though, either little small hard ones, or bigger 'boil' type ones that are sore

Yes, my boots didn't want to order it either, so I bought from a health food/organic produce store. More expensive than a bottle from boots, but cheaper than most cleansers I would buy.0 -

TBH I prefer the ready made oil cleansers I think they are lighter & easier to remove (& get mascara off better too).0
