I'm normally a lurker but I had to reply to this thread - I've just started to use this and I'm really impressed so far.
I'm using roughly a 30/70 mix of castor oil and almond oil and this really seems to clear out my pores.
The thing I'm really hoping it will help with is visible pores around my cheeks - out of curiosity, for those of you who it helped with this, how long did it take to work?
Thanks
Sarah
Difficult to say. Nose certainly far quicker than cheeks. Cheeks still aren't as good as nose TBH, but much better than before. Occasionally I put just caster on the pore-y bit of cheek, then normal mix elsewhere, to try and hurry it along a bit0 -
Well I am intrigued now, went on a quick hunt at lunchtime for castor oil and came back with none. I will try my local chemist tonight.
I did buy a pack of 5 facecloths from B&M bargains for 99p though, so thats a start! You can stand there and agonize........

I visited a larger Boots on the way home and managed to get the Organics Baby Oil for the carrier oil and Virgin Castor Oil.
Is this the right stuff?
They said they didn't have just Castor Oil and this one said 'for the relief of constipation' on the bottom. I bought 2 small bottles at £1.14 each - she did give me a sympathetic lookYou can stand there and agonize........

A quick update ... I just used the Boots Baby Oil last night on its own ... my skin STILL feels nice and soft even now and it does actually look a bit brighter!!!
It doesn't feel tight (which it does even if I splash water on it!), the spots round my mouth seem to have dried up a little and no more have erupted today (they were starting to come out on my cheeks too) ... could be early days but so far so good.
I have sensitive skin on my arms so I whacked a bit on my arms (well, I like to do a proper test!!) ... just rubbed a bit in though, didn't do the whole hot flannel treatment ... but even my arms seem really soft so I think I can definitely say this is good stuff!
Believe me, if it won't cause problems on my arms, it ought to be fine for everyone! (I can't even spray perfume on my wrists because my skin is so sensitive there .. I have to spray it directly onto my hair if I want to wear some!)
The smell is gorgeous but it isn't overpowering at all. A nice warm snuggly baby smell, not too perfumed and you don't smell it all day long. I am just using it at night time to see how my skin goes on but as I say, so far so good and I am sure I would have seen a reaction by now!
Think I shall stick with using this on its own!0 -
I used the Botanics Baby Oil last night and it was lovely, I didnt notice a baby smell, I thought it was rather neuteral but maybe that was because i mixed it with the castor oil. I sat and watched TV and massaged it in for about 20 minutes and my face does feel lovely today. I have lots of flaky bits usually and quite spotty on the nose and chin at the minute and they look much better. You can stand there and agonize........
