you should be ok cos you've started off getting your skin used to jojoba.
mine cost about a tenner for 118ml  but i reckon it will last at least a year.so it works out really cheap i think.
if you can be bothered and depending on your skin type you could make up 2 lots of oil.
i've got combination skin and its my t-zone that gets blocked.
so my cheeks neck and forehead just get jojoba on them and my nose and chin i experiment with castor and jojoba. i have done 50/50 a couple of times and that was fine for me.0 -
Anyone else using Boots Botanics Baby Gentle and Mild Baby Oil for OCM?
It is sooo yummy. It is a pure oils blend, ingredients:
Jojoba Oil
Grapeseed oil
Peach oil
Wheatgerm oil
It costs £2.98 for a 250ml bottle. Its sold as a moisturiser/baby massage. Warm it in your hands prior to application and oh that aroma mm mm mm.
Since using it I no longer need moisturiser for my mostly dry skin. CB2X0 -

is that all that's in it? if so that is great. i'll have a look at it. but my jojoba will last ages yet.0 -
Finally I found castor oil at my local independent chemist yesterday. Last night I made 20/80 castor oil/ extra virgin olive oil (that's what I have in my kitchen
) and massaged for 10 min.
Result?? The whitehead on my nose and T-zone is gone and my skin is so soft. I really loved it and next time I'm going to massage it a bit longer as I still can see blackhead on my nose. But more than happy it cleared most of the whitehead :j0 -

I think mine was £10.25 for 287ml. Oooh I hope my castor oil is here tomorrow!!!:j0 -
I massaged with my oil for half an hour last night. And although last night my skin looked about the same as after my normal oil cleanse (I now oil cleanse every evening) this morning it looked wonderful. I don't think I'll be massaging every day for 30 mins, but it does seem its worth while trying to do this every now and then.
Thanks for this tip.

My castor oil arrived this morning, can't wait until I'm home from college tonight to try it out. None of my 'beauty student' friends can beleive I am using oil on my face. So funny.0

I've got some of this today to try ... well, the thinking being I can't do much more damage to my skin!! Aaarrgghhh!!
Just wanted to ask you .. do you do it the same as the others? I.e. putting it on your face, then applying a hot flannel to your face, wiping off and repeating, or do you just massage it onto your face and leave it on?
Btw, in my Boots today (Pontefract) they had a deal on where you could get one bottle and another for £1!
Just reading the bottle, it says it is hypoallergenic, consultant paediatrician approved and consultant dermatologist approved too.
Here's hoping!!0 -
YorkiePud - Good luck.
Well I used my castor oil tonight. Not sure what mix as I kinda just splodged some on my hand and mixed with the jojoba oil. Massaged in and washed off. There was black dots on the flannel - hoping the weren't blackheads - yuck!!Skin feels really clean and smooth!0 -
I'm normally a lurker but I had to reply to this thread - I've just started to use this and I'm really impressed so far.
I'm using roughly a 30/70 mix of castor oil and almond oil and this really seems to clear out my pores.
The thing I'm really hoping it will help with is visible pores around my cheeks - out of curiosity, for those of you who it helped with this, how long did it take to work?
Thanks
