Is that the one Suki is doing?

I've gotta go to bed now - but will come back to this tomorrow night after work and shopping and cooking etc....... :o

    Thats the one.

We don't have a combi boiler, just a normal boiler.

I use the dishwasher for the big wash ups.

We have a pumped electric shower, we rarely bath.

So I don't have my tank set to very hot.#

Just hand hot enough to wsh glasses & faces & hands.

Do you think I would need to turn the water temp up to do the OCM?

As it says to use HOT water, now I wouldn't call it hot out of our tank, just very warm.

Not very MSE heating a full tank when we use it in fits & starts. Even worse if I have to turn the temp up:rolleyes:

How'd I do that post twice? Lucky I guess.

Re the Olive oil - if you don't have to mix it or anything - what do you do and how and how often. Is it usual olive oil?? Extra Virgin? Asda's own make be alright?

Tesco Value Jeannie, this is MSE after all:rotfl:

    Ermmm...don't you have a kettle then?:p

I'm thinking of trying this one, my skin is pathetic even though I'm now 38.

Olive oil wraps used to be our version of V05 hot oils for intensive hair conditioning when I was younger. Great results too.
I think the secret is not to tell anyone you're doing it, just wait for the results then when they ask just tell them it's an organic, herbal, vegetarian, holistic, posh spa treatment you've discovered. Yeah I did think of that, but it means bringing it up & downstairs, bit of a palava.

In the morning I get up really early & instead of doing my bits upstairs then going downstairs I would have to go downstairs boil a kettle then go back up & do my bits, then back downstairs.

I just have a routine & it means changing it:o

Hand hot is hot enough Mrs E :) Just have plenty of cloths to hand if you are using the wee muslins. I dont use the oil in the mornings - its now bedtime ritual, Mornings its cleanse and polish or tescos cleanser

Angel what mix are you using? Im now down to about 25/75 as I was getting some dry patches and I can use that mix about 4 times a week now. Cheek pores are near on invisible now, still needing to work on my nose.

Mrs E, sunflower oil is the same as sunflower seed oil btw. And dont you be getting stressed at the thought of putting chip fat on your face, castor oil is a laxative after all:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I've been doing this for a couple of weeks now, 3 times a week, and I'm finding the same good results on my cheek pores. I use about a 20/80 ratio, with ordinary olive oil (I like the smell!!) I also do it as a night-time ritual, and in the morning after an OCM I just use hot water on my face with no cleanser (the OCM article suggests doing that- as you face has already been deep cleansed the night before, water is enough). The other times I use a cream cleanser with muslin cloth (still looking for a good cheap one).

I've bought an olive oil/ sunflower oil mix in Sainsbury's after someone's suggestion in the other thread- so I'll try that next.

I ran the tap for a while last night & it is hand hot, just hot enough to wash yourself in, I just thought that maybe with the OCM it might have needed to be hotter, thank you, all cleared up now.

If its so good for your skin, why aren't you doing it 7 nights a week?

Is it the castor oil that causes the dry patches?
You wouldn't think an oil could cause dryness? Or even if it is a through cleanser, you still wouldn't expect it to cause dryness.

Thanks for clearing up that about sunflower seed oil & sunflower oil.
    & as for the laxative:rotfl: :o :rotfl: :o :rotfl:

I have got my castor oil now and I used I 3rd castor to 2 3rds of olive oil. I didn't have any cloths and as I am too impatient to wait I used a bowl with water from the kettle and did a steam with a towel over my head then carefully wiped off the excess with paper towel in hot water. It feels really nice and I plan on doing it twice a week because of the time factor.

I am going to try and get some muslin this week. I plan on buying a large piece and cutting it up into a usable size.

    Thanks for the link.
