Tried Tesco's Extra Stockton, everything priced OK even the San Miguel £14.98
It seems the Extra's round here are on top form @ the mo0 -
I've fixed that one now!! (Maybe discussions of the misprices page should go in the discussion thread rather than here - so as not to upset redfox too much!).
I agree, the odd post off topic is OK but this is getting to much now.
There now I have done it again.
Discussion is here:

I keep wondering this so I've got to ask - could someone tell me why dixons for example would not have to sell a miss priced video or argos a miss priced tv (just an invitation to buy) but trading standards could fine Tesco £2000 per over priced item?
Is it something to do with it being grocerys?0 -
if you buy over-priced items and get them refunded onto your (tesco) credit card do you then still receive the CC points or are they removed on refund?
Thanks0 -

Invitation to treat is within the realms of the contract law field, shelf label is an invitation to buy the product, contract takes places at point of sale at which point legally binding agreement.
However, there are other consumer laws, such as the CPA, etc, which take a dim view of this type of activity, especially when it's on such a regular a large scale. When I was in a store yesterday (the choc-ice store), the store manager admitted to me that almost all the time his store was illegal.0 -

'although a trader can refuse to sell at his wrongly advertised price he may find himself facing prosecution under ss 20 ss21 of the consumer protection act where the price ticket shows a lower price than that at which he is prepared to sell. (taken from the summing notes in esso petroleum vs HM customs and excise).
Obviously a while since I did this type of stuff (so details may have been refined) but I believe that this plus other consumer laws put mr T in a weak position if they continually mis-price stuff.0 -
Three packs of Organic Brie today
. (Prices as previously posted on this thread). The old and new stock was mixed in together so there were two different prices per kilo available. I chose the higher one
.
CS were extremely nice and when I offered to go with her to point out the error she accepted gratefully! First time that's happened, usually they say no in my experience.
What amazes me is the difficulty most CS have in grasping the concept of a price per kilo. As far as they understand it there's a pack price and that's that. This is fairly basic arithmetic surely? Anyone else found this?

Yes, the lovely lady at CS couldn't understand it yesterday, nicely told me I'd been charged the pack price, so no overprice. When she'd been off to check what I was saying (twice) with the meat manager, came back and happily told me I was right (like....yeah...I know :rotfl: ).0 -
I'm confused, is this the 'discussion' thread or 'misprice' thread?
Redfox, you must feel like you're banging your head against a brick wall! How much ?????????!!!0
